Operation :s

Not really need in any sympathy, just thought this was the best place for this topic.

Anyway, I've had a problem with my right eye for months now, and saw the doctors a couple weeks ago to find out there's something wrong with my cornea. Basically, I'm having it replaced [I think] tommorow, it's a pretty big operation, and if it fails, there's a chance I could lose vision in my right eye.
My vision is already pretty bad, but I wear contacts most of the time, so it isn't really too much of a problem.

I'll let you know how it goes when I get back tommorow afternoon.

Good luck. I'd be afraid like any other normal people would be. Hopefully, it'll be experienced surgeons and not retards performing it.

If you lose the eye you only lose like 30% of your sight or something like that

 

Good luck, best wishes. For me personally, having anything bad happen to my eyes/vision is one of my biggest fears. Stay positive, everything should go fine!

 

Good luck. If an operation had a high chance of failure they wouldn't do it in the first place. Just go in there assuming the best will happen.

I feel like ranting on and on to the hospital, I waited a total of 4 hours, until the doctor explained there had been a mix up, and that I was supposed to have had my operation today... But now it would be delayed until September. So I'm pretty pissed, since now my vision will be even worse in that eye.

waiit, you went to the hospital and waited for 4 hours and then they tell you that you were suppose to have your operation today but didn't you go to the hospital to get the operation done in the first place? If it was suppose to be done "today", why wasn't it done as it was "today" at the time?

Sorry, if I didn't well understand your post when it was well-written, haven't slept for 16 hours. (I should be sleeping now but I can't fall asleep so I'm planning on staying up the whole day until I can fall a sleep during the afternoon).

Yeah, pretty much. I went to a hospital that the government have trying to close down because how awfully run it is, chase farm hospital up by Enfield.

Anyway, I guess free health care has its limitations, so until September I wait
