Are T.O.S. in discord rules a legit way?

I was wondering if accepting rules in Discord would count as a legitimate way of letting users know what your terms of service are.

So not terms in a channel you have to accept, but Discord rules?

 

Are you asking if like the react of roles kind of rules when you join the server? If so then yes I believe 90% of the users here have theirs set up like that.

I would recommend though that these TOS also be posted in the beginning of every ticket and also posted in every thread you have with something for sale to add the most amount of transparency with your TOS.

As stated here: As a service provider, you must ask your customer to agree to your terms of service in writing.

 

So you are saying they are just posted on a channel that says rules? So then they did not have to add a reaction or anything to gain access to the rest of the server. Probably would be better off doing like instated that they a have to react for role so that way agreeing to TOS before even entering the server.
