My Range Tank stats

Hey guys, I have just recently started out my range tank account and would like to share with you my stats so far here goes...

70 range
60 defense
60 strength
50 attack
18 prayer (not yet tried to level)
1 magic (would like 94 in the future for vengeance)

Tell me what you think guys and also some tank ranger tips for me in the future

You definitely need mage. It's a pretty easy skill to raise.

 

I will buddy, but at the moment I'm just training defense at experiments until 70 then should I move onto mage? Or something else? Oh and also how good do you think I would cope in pvp with my current stats? -Brad

 

99 magic-easy to get w/ a gatestone bot and completely free (takes about 9 days)

Quest/Train for 75 Atk

Keep str low (Fuck Turmoil?)

99 Range ofc

74/75 prayer (75 because divine prodding is fun)

70/75 Def (75 because divine prodding is fun)

85 Dung (Grab up a chaotic staff/x-bow whichever you prefer and rigour), and it gives access to Frosts which is good range exp + great money. Easily botted with iDungPro.

Seems daunting but range tanks aren't for kids who make a goal and do it half-ass.

I'm hoping to get 99 mage also for venge etc and i would start training now but i have recently bought karil's and have 2 m left :L and also should i keep my strength at 60 now then and just train attack to 75, I only levelled strength quite high so that it would be easier and quicker to train def to 75.

If its a range tank then you should be getting 99 Range first and then focus on defense.

 

yeah with that gatestone thingy.

 

yeah I know but I pk from time to time when i get bored of training so i thought it would be wise to get a decent defense level too mate.

also guys before you get the gatestone bot on rs buddy script repositry it says that one of the requirements are 32 mage i think so should i level mage to 32 then get the deviant gatestone bot?

 

i agree with everyone here, and would most definatly get the higher defence if you can afford a divine, and definatly get that dung up for c staff/crossbow. But gl with your account looks like its coming along nicely

 

Don't waste your time PKing with crap stats =/, just max out and then PK.

The bot is free, so you don't need to worry about getting levels before buying it.

so guys after i have, lets say 70 def should i level my mage to 94 and then train to about 44 prayer?

thanks for the support mate, unfortunatley i dont think i shall be able to afford divine anytime soon i did have 8m but just bought karil's for when i reach 70 def, however if i ever do decide i want divine i do have 99 fishing so this may make a reasonable amount of gp for divine if not then at least some decent pk gear

Don't just get 44 - get 74 and get rigour. It's the best prayer for tank rangers, and it's become essential with the amount of turmoil zerkers out there.

 

okay will do buddy, I was wondering whether to get rigour or not as I didn't want to raise my cb level too much mate

yeah I'm gonna mate just need to get lvl 32 mage first so that i can cast the spell. Also can anyone give me a list for what all my levels should be by the time I have completed my maxed ''range tank'' so that i have a rough idea on what i am aiming for please, thanks in advance
