Community Recognition - How Do You Do It?

    Hello, members of Sythe.org!

I have been around gaming forums for a long time, especially the underground. Everyone forum has it's own ways of getting recognition -- but, I just can't seem to find it for Sythe.org.

I understand that gaining vouches in this community is a good way to be deemed trustworthy; but, is there an actual way you can gain community recognition?

If so, then what do you do? Discuss here!

Uhhm, well, the longer you are active on Sythe, the more you get known.
If people see you posting everywhere, they will eventually recognise you.
I think just beging active is the answear.

I've also realized that another bigger way for community recognition is to spend time with other fellow Sythe members in IRC. Posting around helpful posts also does the trick but its hard to know if you are or not when you do.

-Help people out in every section.
    -Be in the IRC, active.
-Do free services to rake in some vouches
    -Be nice and helpful
    -Be active
    -Write useful guides

These are basically the things that'll help you 'hop to the top'.
If you do all these things, you'll get there.

Thanks for all the feedback, so far. I have realized all of things mentioned, except being regularly active in the IRC.

I'm looking forward to hearing methods.

Just posting around really. I never used the IRC, until the past few days where I've occasionally ventured in. I'm not much of a market-goer either.

Also, if you wish to gain attention to make your posts stand out, more people will look at a post if the signature, avatar and (if applicable) UI stand out.

Trustworthiness, quality of posts, and friendliness are things that will get you recognized around the community.

Not only talking, but making friends with customers, conversing in IRC, participating in discussions, and fooling around in the Spam forum are among a plethora of ways that will all help contribute to you being "seen" by the rest of Sythe.

    Personally for me:

-Lend a helping hand whenever I see an opportunity
-Making friends & conversing with all my customers
-Post quality content, as opposed to "spam"
-Familiarize myself with other members of Sythe.Org that I don't trade with

The best way to be recognized is to try not to be recognized. Just go about your daily business and if its meant to be it will come in due time.

A lot of the others have made some good points. To expand on some of them though, there is a lot of different ways to get recognized. In my opinion the best way to get recognized as a person that is involved and helpful is mainly by the quality and consist quality of your posts. If you continuously post some good feedback, spark good discussion, and make good points in threads people will start to recognize you as someone that is really serious about the community. I'd suggest not just trying to post everywhere to boost your post count as quick as possible, but try to make posts with depth and quality. I personally always try to make it a goal for myself to make my minimum post at least two lines long on my screen and still have good helpfulness and relevance to the topic. Obviously posting is not the main part in community recognition, but I feel like it is a main point.

A few other things that are good to do is keep good and mature trading habits. When you maintain mature and organized trading habits people view you as professional and a real player in the community as well.

Hanging out in the irc and getting to know as many new people in the community as possible doesn't hurt either. In the irc there is often discussion and people requesting help. Some people may argue it doesn't help but I am fairly confident that it does, you get to know more people and build relationships with them.

Try to get into a routine and stay active with it, there is a lot of useful tips that some users have provided here, but other than that I agree with what Firez said. Be yourself and do your normal thing, people will start to notice and recognize you if you are a good member in the community.

That. Don't try and post to be recognized. You will eventually get recognized once people "recognize" your posts are actually helping the community and contributing to the topic. Also posting interesting news in the off-topic section (like panic) or debating with good arguments in the SFA section will make you stand out.
