Modded Controller Ban

I'm thinking about buying a modded controller for Call of Duty (MW2/BO) but don't want to risk getting any type of infraction to my gamertag account. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with, or has ever heard of, someone getting banned for using something like a modded FAL. I personally have not but I'm a very cautious person and just to make sure before I run on out and purchase something.

 

I don't think you will get banned for using a modded controller, but I don't even own an XBOX so don't take my word for it. However I've never heard of someone getting banned for a modded controller.

 

I hadn't either so I'm hoping that it won't be a problem.

Also I forgot to ask, if anyone has any particular websites or sellers here on Sythe where they got a good modded controller and want to link them to me please do. I would rather buy them from a known place that has good feedback from users than some random bloke on eBay. My only requirement is that if it would please be an official Microsoft controller rather than a 3rd party, and that it be compatible with multiple games. LED lights under the buttons are cool and look badass but they don't need to be there.

 

My friends and I have been using modded controllers almost everyday for almost a year now and no ban nothing at all.

 

I have a friend that is a somewhat famous youtuber and he got a sponsorship with a modded controller company and they gave him a free one.

He plays with it for fun, but not when he records.

No ban or infraction or anything along those lines.

Honestly, I don't think Microsoft looks at the reports since half the time kids are raging after getting their ass kicked in MW2 or some game like that.

It's REALLY obvious if you're using a semi auto gun with a modded controller, which may increase your chances if they have a system to catch that shit and stuff.

But I've never heard of anyone getting caught.

 

Well I don't plan on doing any recordings or anything while using it, just to like screw around with a modded FAL, USP .45, etc. when playing with friends. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good and reputable website to purchase one online?

I say you do it anyway, because they don't do shit about mods anymore.

 

I think Microsoft are more concerned about wallhacks and aimbot's at the moment than some modded controller. Unless they actually see you in real life using a modded controller then I would except they will do nothing about it.

Better than any controller you can use, just get xim3 so you can use your keyboard and mouse. You'll do 100x better using a keyboard and mouse.

 

They can't detect hardmodded controllers, and I don't think they would care about someone using a modded controller either. I have a friend who can tap really fast, so there are people who just have really fast fingers.
