6850 vs GTX 460 1GB

6850.
More powerful gpu, and clocked slightly higher.

 

GTX 460 1GB performs better than the 6850 on several games, though it uses more power.

I don't like ATI's, GTX 460 is a good card and i like PNY's cards never had a problem with them. Go with the GTX u won't regret it.

If not radeon- simple fact i have used that brand before, never heard of other one.

I a Fanboy of Nvidia/Geforce tho. should convert tho them

 

Probably am getting the 6850 due to less power usage, and that Sapphire one comes with DIRT 3 for free.

 

460 if you plan on overclocking(can reach stock 470)
6850 if you don't plan on OCing.

Dank, disappointed, you should of known that the 460 if you OC > 6850.

 

Even without overclocking the 460 performs slightly better than the 6850, but uses a lot of power. Already running an overclocked 2500k on a 500W PSU, don't want to run an overclocked card as well. So probably ordering the 6850 today.

I'm not mad, just disappointed. That one went straight to the heart man.


Either way, both cards come with software that can OC for you. Catylist(sp?) Control center for radeon and something or other for the other card.

I don't know if he can, but if he would be willing the 460 would of been a better purchase.

6850 is still an excellent card nonetheless, should have no problems for most games on atleast med-high.

 

6850 uses less power and performs better than the 460 in Crysis and other games that I play.

 

Yeah but the 460 at stock is shit, 460 exceeds when overclocked and can reach 470 speeds.
