Western Union - HELP?

I'm currently 17 [nearly 18].

At the moment, I have PayPal, the account is bank funded, and verified.

I was wondering how I set up a western union account, If I set it up using the bank account I am using, which is a joint account shared bewteen my parents, and has been put aside for myself.... Can I actually pick up the money from Western Union, or do my parents have to do it? Since it's their bank account.

I also just need any information you guys could give me about W/U

For example, the fees, how to send the money, where to go to pick up the money.

Wait until you're 18 to send the money - I had someone try and send it while he was 17 - They froze his paypal until he could prove he was 18.

You may pick up money at whatever age (This varies by country). In the US it's possible to be under 18 and pick up money. Just make sure to bring the correct papers.

 

You can pick it up if you are 17, just make sure you tell them to send it to your name, take in 2 forms of ID (Even though usually one is fine) If a certain location is unsure about you receiving it at 17 just tell them you picked it up the other day and they said it's fine, you should have no problems collecting

 

If you are under 18, they require you to collect the money with a parent. This may be different in some countries.

 

That's not how Western Union works, I'm 16 and I collect Thousands of Dollars monthly. For western Union, You don't need an account. This is how it works; A person sends you an amount of Money to Your Legal Name and Your Country/State and you go to a Local WU and you Pick it up, You will have to provide Identification, I usually take my Passport.

 

Ignore what Add My Msn says, if you are 17, look 18, or at least have a drivers license they will take your payment. I have no idea why they wouldn't as long as you don't look like a kiddy because they make a percentage of the fee off you so they are happy to have your business.

Then again some places may not take you, it took my neighbor about 3 stops to find one that will let him.
