Essentially, Fuzion linked to a thread and accused Fatality of reselling an account that he had purchased.

The report was dismissed since Fuzion did not provide proof that he had purchased the account, apart from knowledge of the account name.

Unfortunately, Fatality, like most recoverers, removes screenshots of the accounts from his threads after they're purchased. Thus, it remains to be shown that the account in question was, in fact, sniper w32.

Fortunately, Fatality missed an image when he went to delete them. The bank pic for the account Fuzion purchased was:

Note, the image is named "sniperbank", and - again - the account Fuzion claims to have bought was Sniper w32. Since both accounts are advertised as 99 hunt, are both 1 prayer, and have similar gold stacks, and since Fuzion knew the name of the account, I believe it's reasonable to conclude that Fuzion did buy the account Fatality was reselling 3 months later.

The remaining objection would be that Fuzion recovered the payment, causing Fatality to recover the account. It's a reasonable objection, since Fuzion's report screenshot does not show Fatality's response to the accusation. However, Fatality damns himself by saying while attempting to resell the account:

Assuming he sold Fuzion the account legitimately, and provided legitimate recovery info, he still would not be able to claim to be 'the first and only' owner of the account, even if Fuzion had recovered the payment. Thus, it would seem Fatality is guilty either of account recovery or of falsely advertising an at-risk account.

Fatality has been accused a couple other times of account recovery, but has offered refunds to get the reports closed. At the least, I think a TWC is appropriate.

 

 
 
 
 
 

 

He seems to have left out a rather large portion of the explanation.

He recovered an account just to get the buyer's attention? In what circumstance is that okay? What is this dispute over "a few bucks" referencing?

And even then, it doesn't excuse his claim that he was the 'first an only' owner of the account when he went to resell it. Three months really isn't that long, and he hadn't sold many accounts here by then; how could he forget what was apparently such a messy trade?

I've only gone through his level 133 account he's had for sale (will do others later), but found that he's sold the account 3 times and currently trying to sell it. The reason I believe it's the same account is due to the title advertising extremely similar titles - all of them have 10x99s and the first 2 threads I've linked say it has a fire cape and a torso. For the change in combat level, you see on the current selling thread that the summoning level is 96 meaning he must of raised it and that's why it's different.

I spoke to Trinityy, one of the buyers of the 133 account mentioned above. Trinityy says he sold the account to Mepis, and informed Fatality of the ownership change.

Mepis later reported the account as recovered, here:

He concluded with the following:

After a recovery war on the account, Mepis demanded a refund from Trinityy; to pay it, Trinityy in turn demanded a refund from Fatality. He says Fatality gave him 200m (half the purchase price of $200). Thus, to say that Fatality was doing a favor by rebuying the account is kind of a BS way of saying he partially refunded the account because it was being repeatedly hacked.

If he had the 'rebuy' the account two more times because some fellow Estonian kept hacking it, perhaps he shouldn't be selling the account in the first place. Anyway I'm satisfied with the TWC.

 

      

 

This is what Trinityy posted in the dispute section:

 

Check the logs again. The convo before it took place on 25/03/11, which means that Fatality's MSN uses a date format of day/month/year. Thus, the refund that is shown as 02/04/11 was in April, not February. We updated the OMM rate to .5/m in the middle of March (http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1067010), by which point the rate had been fairly well established.

Also, I know the trade was forever ago, but logs still aren't proof.
