Rune pure or get up defense?

Hey guys! Just a quick question. Im not much of a members pker but I have a rune pure. Do you guys think i should level up the defense to like 70/75 so I can wear some of the better armor such as DFS/Bandos/Armadyl etc or just stay 45 defense?

U can lvl it to 45 for Berserker pure
70 for barrows pure..
99 def as tank XD

 

I'd say keep it, and pk with 45 defense for awhile. If you don't like having 45 defense then get it up to 70 or so.

it's up to you tbh, if you like pking with 45def keep it at 45, with higher def you'll have a higher combat level, and the fights aren't the same between low levels or high levels.

 

If you get passed 70 then you wont really be a pure anymore, so I suggest keeping it low because rune pures aren't that bad.

Barrows pures are trash, take it from me.

In 2008, when berserker pures were undoubtedly the best pking build, I raged and got 70 defense on my perfect berserker pure account once they removed the wildy. 2 months later, I started up another berserker pure and never looked back.

80-99-45 with Chaotics/Turmoil/Yak/etc at 100-105 combat is pretty much undefeatable, pair that with cheap pking sets (400k at edge, 1.5m in brid) and you have yourself a volatile account. I've pked well over 3B since the introduction of BH/PvP, and another ~500m since Free Trade was released within the first month (I have since quit scaping)

The account I got 70 defense on is still 70 defense (93-99-70 at 108 F2p Combat) and I can't stand to pk on that account. I suggest staying 45, but that's just me.

 

I took this decision a few weeks ago, big regret. Keep it at 45 a lot more funner.
