Xbox Related Sales

Well as you can see I have been a member for a few years now, And I don't play Runescape. I basically only take place in the Xbox section. The meaning of this post is that, I really think we need a new mod specifically just for the Xbox related sales section. Its getting bigger as the days go by. I have been reporting alot of posts lately and trust me when I say this, Not being rude in ANYWAY, But most mods in this section don't know much about Xbox or sales. I have even had to help out a couple mods in certain situations because they don't know much about Xbox related sales. It also takes quite a while for the reports to actually be dealt with. I have no idea really who to suggest for such a job, I just know that something should be done. From what I see absolutely no mods/admins take part in that forum at all, They just read the reported posts and take care of it that way. I honestly think it would be pretty nice to have an active member of the xbox section to be a mod and be apart in that specific community. Perhaps even catch the spammers and rule breakers before any members have to report the post, and or thread. In conclusion, I think something should be done. This is just my opinion, And I know this is mainly a Runescape forum. So maybe you guys don't care much about the Xbox related sales section, But I do. Oh and also, this was not meant in ANY way to be an insult to any mods or anything. This was just an opinion I have on the matter. That is all I have to say.

More Moderators is on the DNS list. However on another note this problem is destined to change in the near future, considering that there is probably going to be a round of promotions soon. In the promotion there is likely going to be more market mods, hopefully with more xbox related experience to help clean up the section. Also what type of things did you have to help the moderators out with? There is nothing complicated I can think of that they would have required assistance? It would be nice if you left some examples so they would know what to look into/learn about so that they could improve on that section. Possibly create a feedback thread for this.

 

I agree. Me, myself have gone in the Xbox related Sales section quite some time and the activity is definitely increasing. I suggest that we pick a moderator that has Xbox experiences to handle that section while doing what they were originally promoted for.

 

Yeah i agree with this, but i doubt it will happen.

 

I know this was in the DNS, But this is a problem that needs fixed, Badly. Even just one Xbox related sales mod just for that specific section would be great and would help that entire section out.

For an example of something I helped an unnamed mod with is that he didn't know what the diffidence between a non virtual Xbox related sale was and a virtual Xbox related sale was. I know anyone with any Xbox experience should know this but still, The Xbox related sales forum is starting to get pretty damn big, And for mods to not know these sort of things should be more so mod in something that they know more about rather than mod in something they don't know much about.

Another thing I helped was that a member was trying to sale a carded account and I caught it just because I know as much as I do about Xbox's and selling Xbox related items, I reported it. I than got a reply to the report. I than pmed the mod to help and explain how I knew that the account was carded in full detail the unnamed mod still didn't understand and reverted me to a mod that did. Which took probably 3 or so days before the thread finally got closed. I mean like I said in the op this isn't an Xbox forum, And I know mods are not required in anyway to know anything about Xbox's but it would really be nice to have a mod that knew alot about it and was really active in that section. All i am saying is perhaps if the users I quoted is right and there is a promotion perhaps pick someone that knows alot about Xbox related sales and is active there along with the other forums as well or not.

I hope this post helped, In understanding the situation a little more. Also, Like I said in the op, I am not trying to make the anyone feel bad or anything. I am sure knowing anything about Xbox is not required to be a mod here as its a rs forum.

I agree with this as well, we just need a mod or a upcoming one to have a fair amount of knowledge with Xbox, I'm sure we can see having one in the near future.

What mod application are you talking about? He is suggesting for more Moderators with the necessary knowledge and experience to handle with Xbox related Sales, nothing else.

 

This. Although I wouldn't mind being a mod this isnt a mod application. If it was it would be ALOT different than it is. Thanks DMR for clarifying it for this guy.

 

i agree ive seen that some people know nearly everything there is to know about xbox. That would be a cool title as well

 

Yo, I am already doing work on the XBOX forum lol.

I believe myself and Corey are the 2 most qualified for keeping the Xbox section clean and I've been working on it since yesterday when I got my promotion.

I don't like the idea of having individual section moderators.
Market mods can do it, it's fine.

 

You just think this because you arnt apart of the xbox section. This is really only relevant to that. As Its getting bigger by the day. Nothing else really is besides the rs sections. I have never seen you post even once in the xbox section and Ive been here like 3 years.

 

Xbox section was in dire need of someone to clean it up and I know I can help with that.

For sure you are doing good. Perhaps some help would be good for you though. As there are alot of reports coming in each day. And you are basically the only one doing the reports for that section.

 

Cool, that's because i don't own an xbox? I don't see your point. We have market mods and global mods, they can take care of it. It's not needed to make a mod just for that section.

Well, considering Myself and Giddy started the Xbox section with our Halo 3 50's in 2008, im sure you can relay messages through me, and i would be happy to sort out the issue. I have sold close to 100 Halo accounts alone.
