How do I make my dad let me buy virtual items?

Well I quit runescape and now I like it again. I have $130 from my birthday I want to buy gold with so I can buy an account and merch. But ive had this problem before my dad say im buying nothing and He wont let me. Ive bought an account before but he would flip if i asked to spend $100. Help?

 

Buy it and don't tell him? I mean...is it really worth it to blow your birthday cash on pixels that you'll eventually lose it? Just listen to him, but, if you insist of wasting your cash, just buy it without telling him....that's the only way.

You can't make your dad do anything. You can convince him, yes. But personally, I would get the knowledge and just go behind his back.

 

Don't buy virtual items. It might seem like a great idea now, but sooner or later, you'll say to yourself "Damn, why did I spend my money on gold for this game"
Spend your money on physical items. In a year or two, you'll probably completely forget about RuneScape.

I even regret spending my money on this game.

 

If you're 18, then explain you're an adult and that it is your money, and you'll spend it how you choose.

 

Get the money and buy a gift card credit card, then use that card to buy the virtual items or you can make a personal bank account and get a debit card.

 

Just buy GP via Western Union. Easy as.

 

If I were you I'd listen to him and save those $130 (trust me, I've been there too) but, if you really want to, tell him that it's an investment; the money you spend on these virtual items will enable you to make even more money later on (i.e. you can sell the RSGP you make from merching for more cash).

How about buying some bots, and members, and farming as much gold as you want.

 

Your dad knows the value of money something you most likely dont't, so cant blame him for being angry for wanting to flush away real money for nonexistent pixels. I'd listen to him.

 

This person is a genius and yes don't buy items you could just as easily play the game to get. It would kind of ruin the game and you're spending actual money on a game that you might just wake up one day and say "wow this is stupid." Just play and get the stuff in game you will have more fun and will give you something to strive for while playing. Buy something cooler with your money like a normal kid and not Runescape lol.

 

Likely your best bet is just to buy MoneyPak cards.

Why waste money on Runescape bro? Go buy some bud and have a good time outside.

 

Go to the store, buy a prepaid credit card. Make a paypal add the credit card, buy gold from a TRUSTED seller. Don't get scammed as 70% of Sythe are scammers.

 

If he wants to spend his money on Runescape, thats fine - And its better than doing illegal drugs.

 

Buy it, don't tell him. Make it back and replace the cash.
