    Bumping?

Right, so I pretty much wanted to clarify, what exactly does bumping entail.

For example, would confirming a trade on a rsgp thread be counted as a bump.

    :
player #1 posts ' Great trade, thanks'
player #2 please add my msn.

If I multi-quoted this, and typed it in on the thread as ' thanks & added' would this be considered bumping and be eligible for a infraction if I posted more than once a day?

    Thanks.

Technically, (even if it's not intentional) it's still considered bumping. Bumping occurs when you make a post and it basically sends the thread to the very top.

Though, it is considered spam. At least in my opinion -- and I almost always report for it.

    Bumping?

You're allowed to bump your thread once every 24 hours.

And oxodium, I think multi-quoting in that case is ok to do,

However, I think it's pretty pointless to make a post saying 'confirming' as a reply to someone who posted saying they're about to trade you. It just seems unnecessary. That and posting 'updates'. No one is going to see your post saying what you've updated on your thread, and not only that but, they probably don't care. The first thing they're going to see is the already-updated thread, so it seems pointless to make a post saying you've updated your thread.

    Bumping?

I would say that you should only bump if you haven't made a post on the thread in 24 hours and you have nothing else to input.

    Bumping?

That's not always true, a good example; Kinaesthetic, he posts updates, and they're very helpful, as it'll let people know when he's going to be online, allowing them to plan ahead.

    Bumping?

If this is the case, then shouldn't nearly everyone in the gold exchange market recieve multiple infractions?

    Bumping?

Bumping is basically described as this.

Any reply to another users post, update in stock, change in online/offline status, or simply the word BUMP.

More than 1 bump per ~18-24 hours will result in deleted posts. If this becomes an ongoing problem, further action can and will be taken.
