2147m QUESTION!

Hey guys, weird question but i know there is a limit to how much runescape gold you can hold correct? i see 2147m in a lot of pics and sigs on here and around, is it just a pic someone has took and everybody uses or is that the max amount? if it isn't what is the max amount if there is one? thankyou guys

 

Rs programmed in java, maximum integer in java is 2,147,483,647

for 32 bit, iirc it also supports 64 bit

 

2,174,483,674. And yes shorter way and how it is read in RuneScape is 2174M. It is max and you can't get a single gp more.

 

So what happens it just doesnt let you? what if somebody tries to trade you it it sais something?

Yeah, I think it gives you a message when someone tries to trade you a max cash stack, and you already have coins in your inven. In staking, if you stake a max stack and then win, it will drop onto the floor and you will have to run to the bank and then pick it up.

Jagex have said that they can get around the limit if they wanted to, but they see no need currently to do so.
