I'm sure a moderator for that section isn't needed.



I think JohnK, Scottay, and Panic would be a good fit for moderators (as long as Panic doesn't keep getting hacked, that is).

Whilst I'm not here to nominate a moderator nor am I particularly interested in this event, I have to add my thoughts; what is the point of nominating an ex-mod? Surely, if they are capable of moderating again then they will express an interest in returning and have their capabilities evaluated that way, or if they are incompetent then they can just be ignored.

Is there something I am missing?

We need Moderators in the following capacities:

• 3x Market Moderator - Video, Viou, ? [However their main reason here would be to make money, and it'd be priority to ask them if they even feel like moderating]
• 2x Runescape Moderator - Anyone with a lot of knowledge that's active, really. There's a lot of people that answer (nearly) all the threads, it's just a matter of finding someone people think can moderate the section.
• 2x Off-Topic Moderator - Panic, due to him providing us with all new things, and interesting facts. His threads are really fun and interesting. He's also shown he cares for the site [$300 donator].
• 1x Something For All Moderator - Malakadang, I've heard he's around there a lot with long, well-made posts.
• 1x Graphics Moderator - ? [Really because I'm not sure Kinaesthic would want to be moderator, due to the fact he's here to sell.]

 

Before nominating a heavily active market user for moderator, you must think about the effect of their moderating duties on their market use, and vice versa.

Market:
Kerokerocola - I don't have any idea what happened/why he was demoted, but let's be serious here. He is as legit as they come, has proven to know how to mod effectively and efficiently and has good input on important issues.

Hahanerd - I don't really care that he has done stupid things in the past, just about everyone has. He always had the most mod logs, and proved himself global material.

I am hesitant to suggest either video, viou, or r2pleasent, mostly due to the fact that they are all here to make money, and moderator duties could limit their time to profit.

w000t for graphics mod - I don't even know if he is still active around here anymore. When I was here, and quite active he was always one of the more active users in the community and graphics section.

Why don't you just ask some old retired moderators to come back and mod? I know for a fact that Jimmy fits the SFO moderator position great, and that oldies like hamjam would make great mods.

Just my thoughts.
