i just made it for my youtube channel, this is like my 6th time working in gimp so :s.

 

That's a pretty nice piece of work

 

Effects are nice and smooth. Font is a little hard to read and would look better in a yellow/green. Nice one

 

This is indeedy looking extremely good for your first YT layout , keep on creating them and I'm sure you'll get very good at it!

 

Very nice for a first. Here's a few suggestions I'd have for it:

Add pentooling for intricacy, and because it goes with the speaker theme nicely
Make the bottom gradient match the darkest color on your background, it looks cleaner that way
It might look nice if you put in a dominant light source. You can easily do this with soft brushes, or easier still; render flair
