Why do I Suck at PKing?

My stats are

70 attack
99 str
99 range

And I obviously str/range people, but I ALWAYS lose. I eat, I pot, I brew, I switch & spec, like... can someone teach me?

 

Maybe your timing isnt right? timing is everything.
just watch Pk videos on youtube or something.

 

I do! I watch Wtf Elvemage, Generalnc, Pk K1n9 5, etc.

And it's not even timing most of the time I usually just get out-hit.

Like this level 74 (I'm level 78) had on Addy & a Fire Cape and a Slayer Staff and he like OM'ed me for 500. Like wtf is that? & his staff hit higher than my scim. Bullshit.

You're 70 Attack and using Scimmy? Is that because you don't want any attack XP or?

TBH I would get 80 Attack and get a Rapier, it would only get you like 2 combat levels but so much more power.

Other than that I dunno what to tell you, are you 1 Defence? That could easily be why people are getting such great combos on you. The only way you acn combat that is by pulling out combos of your own.

 

Your pker would be better off getting higher attack, 75 or maybe 80 if you can stand to dungeoneer.

the best weapon with 70 attack, assuming you don't use a whip, is a sara sword, unless you're using corrupt VLS/SWH. You're not gonna get many kills using a Sara Sword...get 75 for AGS or 80 for chaotics, that's your best bet.

So we GL and pot up, I drink a super str and sometimes a super att. We start hitting and I just kind of sit there with my scimmy hitting at him and watching my hp. When he gets low enough I right click my spec weapon (Usually DDS) and hover over 'Wield', then I F Key over to where the spec bar shows up, and when he gets just low enough (~30 - 40 HP) I switch my wep and spec. Never kills 'em, and I just rinse and repeat and end up dying.

Well I'm gonna get a rapier but I was thinking about using a whip before that.
And yeah I'm 1 defense, but defense would jack my CB up, and then I'd get fucked by higher levels. My CB is already 78 and I'm getting K0ed by 74's.

 

Here's a few tips, right before you fight eat a rocktail so you can more than likely get his hp down before yours, and then you'll be at a decent advantage. Don't forget to bring 2 recoils, one to equip and one to hold until other one breaks. Use a phoenix necklace when you see them pull out a special weapon, just remember to take it off when they're done, and equip your other ammy on (phoenix will more than likely break though). Have your spec weapon at the 2nd to bottom row, somewhere in the middle. How do you know when to spec? I always have my exp counter open, and when i see over 100 xp gained in a hit, and they're hp is low go ahead and click on spec weapon, press f5 and spec away. Remember keep your hp around 400ish, if it gets any lower just eat.

Edit: set quick prayer to melee, so if you get rushed press quick pray and eat.

Yeah of course I'm not suggesting you raise your defence lol, was just asking.

I really think the Rapier will help break apart their combos, because they will have less time to hit you from them eating LOL.

You don't need prayer to get Venge, it just makes it easier.

As far as the Soul Split goes, like you said you don't want to get more combat levels. You getting soul split puts you in the range of Turmoil Pures and low level Zerkers. 1 Def would get raped by a Zerker with Turmoil IMO.

 

Vengeance requires 94 magic, aswell as 40 defence to complet the corrosponding quest. Soul split you need 95 prayer and atleast 28 defence, turmoil would be a good idea if you were willing to gain a good amount of combat levels.

 

70 attack but don't use whip, 99 range but don't use range? Also 1 prayer is for duel arena, you need prayer for the wildy.

Get 34 prayer (I think that's the lowest needed from memory). Use a whip and pot up super attack as well as super stre. Now you will be able to hit high enough to ko

 

No, I range. I Rune C'bow w/ Diamond Bolts (e). Still doesn't work.

A few tips, as I am a close level to you. My account is level 71, with 50 attack, 99 str, 99 mage, 93 range, and I ko like a mother f*** A tip to stop getting ko'ed is eat a little higher I use to think I was safing eating at 300, but at our levels, people EASILY can hit 600+ with specs etc, so I eat at about 400. Another tip is top bring d bolts (e) rather then diamond (e). With d bolts (e), I have hit many 503's for ko's. And are you delay dds'ing? If you pull your dds out to early, people will see it, and combo eat to full :s Try delaying your dds a little more. That's about all you can do with your stats AS IS, but as some people have commonly said, 75/80 attack and your would RIP SHIT! Good luck pking!
