Unlocking iPhone 3gs (Urgent)

So i've been looking around the internet and they only method I found was to update to the iPad baseband which apparently is really risky.

So here my my specs:

iPhone: 3gs
Version: 4.1
Baseband: 15.14.02
(Jail broken but not unlocked)

Does anyone have any suggestions to safely unlock this, or what I should update it too so I can easily unlock? e.g upgrading baseband etc.

I have posted this before but im wondering if there is any new advances

 

I believe you may have to downgrade your firmware to unlock it again, redsn0w is pretty good.

 

Do you know to what version? Because you cannot downgrade baseband

 

You don't downgrade the baseband.. You downgrade the firmware. I believe the latest one you can unlock/jailbreak is 4.0 or 3.9 not too sure though.. After you jailbreak/unlock you shouldn't update so you don't lose your unlock & jailbreak.. I'm still on 3.3
