All range, No Defence. 99 Range Pure Guide (P2P)

Hello guys, this is my first guide so go easy on the criticism. It will be short, basic, and profitable.

First off, Let's discuss the types of range pures, and why i chose to do the basic, 99 range pure..

~TYPES OF PURES~

Range Tanks:
Range tanks usually have 40-45 defence and a high range level, these can withstand melee attacks better than other pures, and also have dragonhide to stop magic attacks. Although they can withstand attacks, they sacrifice combat levels to have defence, and defence isn't exactly a good thing for pures. A range tank fighting another play who is NOT a range tank, will usually lose. They are effective in some ways if maxed, and you can get some kills with them. But they just aren't effective against other pkers at their cb lvl.

1 Def 99 range Pure:
These pures, are what pures are all about. All offense, no defense. They deal high amounts of damage fast, and keep your enemy spamming food down their throats. At 99 range, you can hit upwards of 530-600 , all while being at a combat level of 54-58 (if following this guide) Most pures at that level are either maxed obby maulers, gmaulers, or random mains that dont have good stats. Just by using a Rune C'bow and d bolts (e) , you can take down your enemy in just a few hits. Defence isnt required as they will barely get a hit on you. A perfect pure for quick kills!

Range/2her
These pures are ONLY effective in f2p, and will not be discussed.


Now, If you have chosen to make a pure ranger, you will need training, minimal supplies, and alot of hardwork and time, or a bot.

~SUPPLIES~

To create your pure ranger, you will need almost nothing in the beginning.

First off, complete the tutorial and head out to the Stronghold of Player safety. Hopefully you know how to get there, and find the lamps/gloves. Use all of the Exp lamps on ranged, and you should now have 9 ranged! Congratulations, but you've just begun.

Walk/Run to varrock and talk to Lowe, At Lowe's Archery Emporium. Take the free shortbow and 30 arrows. Head to the grand exchange and use your 10,000 gp acquired from the stronghold, to buy:
Leather Cowl
Leather Body
Leather Chaps and Studded chaps
Leather boots/Vambraces (boots are optional)
And with the remaining money, Buy as much herring as you can.

~TRAINING~

Now, Teleport to lumbridge using the Home Tele spell, and head south to the graveyard.Speak to Xenia. She will ask you to start the Blood pact quest, and you should accept. Equip your armour, bow and arrows, with a few food in your inventory. Attack Kayle until he dies, and select the option "No, Just leave your stuff and get out of here" Kayle's Sling will be on the floor. Take it, and it will now be your primary weapon till 40 ranged.

Deposit your bow and arrows in the lumbridge bank, or simply drop them. bring 15 herring and train at cows till 40 ranged. You will need alot of money by the time your lvl 40 range, so i suggest you pick up cowhides until then. Personally, i botted this portion of training with Epicbots cow killer.

From now on, you will be killing cows for cowhides/xp you dont have to pick up cowhides for money, if you are willing to transfer 200k, combat bracelet, a glory amulet, and an obsidian cape to your account. Transfering will speed up training as you wont have to pick up cowhides. Remember, this is a P2P guide, so i suggest acquiring membership before 40 ranged. (I got mine at 30-35 ranged)

~ THE RANGING GUILD ~

At 40 ranged, you can now enter the famous Ranging Guild. You will need:

10,000 Bronze arrows ( Optional, faster training)
Yew Shortbow/Best bow you can wield
100k+ Coins

Now, i chose the ranging guild to train as it is great xp, gives no Hitpoints xp, and is 100% safe.

For those who do not bot:
This portion of training will be tiresome and require many hours of training.

For those who do bot:
I suggest you have RsBuddy downloaded, and have uploaded the " ArteRangeGuild" Bot. This bot is superior to other bots, as it Calculates Xp, Tickets and profit per hour. Open the GUI (Settings) and Select Antiban: Mouse movements , go to the next page, and click on Spam click (this will speed your training by 3x at the range guild, and is suggested) Go to the final tab and click rune arrows for exchanging. You will earn 35k xp per hour to range only, and you make 10gp profit PER TICKET.

Buy rune arrows with your tickets, sell on grand exchange, repeat the process till 99.

~PKING/HITPOINTS~

You can pk at many different levels, But pking requires Hitpoints so you arent K0ed instantly. You should already have about 30 hp from cows, and you will need the following hitpoint ratio when pking:

Ranged:Hp
70:50
80:60/65
90:65/70
99:70

If you want higher Hitpoints at 90-99 range, you may do so to your liking.

Doing the Biohazard quest is highly recommended for acces to King Lathas's training camp for caged ogres*

You should now be able to PK.

In single way combat, there are many effective combos and weapons. I will list the most effective ones:

Rune knives+ Rune C'bow(d bolts e)

This combination involves fast consecutive hits and the knockout kill with the c'bow, it is simple, easy to use, and gets em every time.
Attack with knives till half health, pull out c bow fast, and shoot them. if they are not dead, you can fire one shot by the time they eat a piece of food, if they are using sharks, they will be unable to eat above your max hit, allowing you and effective k0.

Rune knives+Descent of Dragons

This combo is rare, but effective. Equip your rune knives (poisoned is optional) and have a few dragon arrows in your quiver. when they reach half health, pull out your dark bow and special attack them, which can hit up to 500 500 anyways, so even if you fail the big spec, you will still k0 them. The spec has a minimum hit of 160 lifepoints, no matter what.

Dragon darts + Descent of dragons/Rune c bow
Same as the above, but with different weapons.

Sagaie+Bolas+C'Bow

This is one of the newest combos available, with the release of the mutated jadinko's and jadinko lair, New weapons are available, and cheap!
Bolas: The bolas is a non-hitting weapon that has a high chance of hitting your opponent, it will entangle their legs and will be unable to move for 15 seconds.this will be reduced to 7.5 seconds if they have a slash weapon equipped or knife in the inventory, and 5 seconds if protect from range is also on. After using the bolas, run back 10 spaces and throw the sagaie (its maximum range) The sagaie hits harder the farther away you are, and can hit up to 450, you can use the sagaie until you run out of them, or until the opponents entangle is over, of which you can then switch to the rune crossbow. This is usually effective in 10+ wilderness, where it will take time for them to run to a safe position

Range Guild has a high ban rate these days :s Going from 40-99 ,only at range guild, would surely get you banned. And for hp/alot faster hp would be chins :O

Its not a high ban rate, but its because it is obvious that you are botting.
Can you possibly click on a single target in 24 hours?

Pictures and correct grammar/spelling would make your guide much more appealing. Nice guide though.

 

Sorry about the grammar, usually i am very good at my writing, but i failed to check my spelling. im new to sythe, and i don't know how to take pictures on rs and load them to sythe. My next guides will definitely have pictures as well as a spell check.
