What's the deal with Defence and Turmoil?

I've heard people say you need 28 defence to get turmoil, but when I went to the wiki these were the minimum stats:

Do you get 28 Defence from a quest reward or what is it? I'm kind of confused lol.

 

You have to do prerequsites for the quests, and defender of varrock gives you 10k EXP in Defence alone.

 

Alright, so the quests will level me to 28 Defence. Balls.

 

Yep. Might aswell just get it to 30 for Rune gloves.

 

I was also wondering this. If i am already 20 defence (quested through Nature's Sprit and the remaining levels trained manually) then which level defence will I end up after the requirements?

 

Yeah. Is there any armor that's level 30 def requirement, besides adamant? Haven't played in a while.

Not over 30 I'm guessing.

I think it still is 20

 

Proselyte armour has a 30 defense requirement and is perfect for Turmoil pures.

(Init is 20 because it is the same stats are mithril with a prayer bonus; Prossy is 30 because it's the same as adamant with a prayer bonus.)

I thought init was 30 and proselyte was 20
I guess I'm just waay off lol
