How Does Jagex Check?

Guessing this is in wrong thread but not sure.

How does Jagex find out if you have been Real World Trading?

 

wrong forum, would belong in either runescape 2 general or cheating.

RWT gp is extremely hard to get banned from. Since Jagex simply cannot tell if you're trading with friends, or RWT.

 

Well, if 1 account is constantly trading large quantities such as gold sellers, it seems probably that's how, and depending on where they sell it, for example, usfine and gold4rs using upstairs in west varrock bank...

 

I think the main/only ways people get banned from RWT is if they post a picture/email on a site like this that gets link to their account OR if they slip up and mention it in game.

 

If they can trace an account from China, trading to over 200 people a week different sums of gold its easy to tell.

However they lose customers that way so they dont care anymore.

 

Yea tbh I don't think they really overly care anymore. They are still earning money from your membership and really it's hard to prove. There's so many clan so much money changing hands daily that it would be impossible to keep track of everyone. Do you really think they're going look at 100k trade screens considering everyone probably trades at least once per day. RWT is extremely hard to prove the chances of you getting caught for RWT are probably 1:10000000000.

 

I got a Major RWT ban once, then i appealed and it was accepted a day l8er b/c i had just became member and i guess they didnt realize lol

 

I've only been banned once and that was in 2007 for buying off a website.

 

They don't even care about RWT anymore... they still make a lot of money from memberships.

 

Nope Jagex found out that they can't control it so they just leave it . (For 1 time... Fagex... I love u )

 

I also got banned in 2007 for RWT and it was for only 20mil and i asked my friend to transfer it to another account for me aswell and we both got perm banned for RWT. But 1-2 years later when they removed free trade we both appealed and we both got unbanned,

Since new free trade ive RealWorldTraded around 3bil and not had no bans or nothing.

 

I really don't hear of much action taken by Jagex to ban RWTers lately.
Video got banned after accepting 22b in party hats, (traded off before) and h1j2q3 got banned on an account after accepting $4000USD in party hats.

Other then that, really nothing.

 

Considering since free trade was released and due to new 'mini-games' such as gambling, it's too difficult for them to discover whether RWT has occurred.

So you shouldn't have much to worry about.

They're main focus is the issue of bots.

 

Never heard of anyone who has been banned for RwT'ing.
It's extremely hard for JaGeX to check everything, and prove you are RwT'ing.
Maybe only with trading extremely much value, regularly.

Likely they just look at a lot of gold coming in, a lot of gold going out.

 

They see large amounts of gp being traded from the same account all the time. Another way they can detect is when people report the accounts for real world trading, some people who buy gold might go and report the gold sellers account.

 

May there are ways but the change of getting banned for rwt is like nothink.

 

Many ways they can check, but like Activision they are starting to care more about money than their customers now.
