COMPLAINT AGAINST MODERATOR ZORA - BIASED RULING & FINANCIAL DAMAGES

I am filing this formal complaint against moderator Zora for gross negligence, evidence manipulation, and a biased ruling that has caused me significant financial and reputational harm. This complaint details multiple violations of fair moderation practices, including:

    1. Cherry-picking and misrepresenting evidence to support a predetermined conclusion
    2. Inadequate investigation (checking only 14% of accounts in dispute)
    3. Ignoring critical timeline evidence that proves accounts were sold defective
    4. Refusing to engage with offered evidence despite multiple attempts to communicate
    5. Enabling a scammer whose subsequent exit scam harmed 4 additional victims
This ruling has cost me $199.29 in direct financial losses, damage to my established business reputation, and the Do Not Trade status that prevents me from using Sythe's marketplace.

SECTION I: EVIDENCE MANIPULATION - VIOLATION OF FAIR MODERATION

What Zora Did: Zora presented a cropped screenshot as "evidence of extortion" in his final verdict:
"Attempting to pressure a refund through DMs rather than using the thread process, which borders on extortion. The following image provides further context: https://i.ibb.co/TMw5Txg0/09U1Dvm.webp"

    The Cropped Screenshot Showed:

    • salesrsgp: "first accs"
    • Me: "first money bro / mods will get on / and say give money first anyway"
The Full Context (Deliberately Omitted by Zora):

The complete conversation shows Salesrsgp threatening me, claiming he had "logs" proving I scammed him, saying "your end is coming," threatening that I'll "enjoy the sythe ban," and claiming system owners would back him up. My response was simply negotiating standard middleman protocol - refund first, then accounts returned.

    Full conversation timeline:
    1. Salesrsgp: "your end is coming"
    2. Salesrsgp: "you will enjoy the sythe ban bro"
    3. Salesrsgp: "maclof are my bro / we got the logs"
    4. Me: Offers LTC address for refund
    5. Salesrsgp: "first accs"
    6. Me: "first money bro / mods will get on / and say give money first anyway"
This is standard trading protocol, not extortion. Every middleman transaction on Sythe follows this pattern: payment security before item transfer. Zora deliberately framed normal negotiation as "extortion" by hiding the threatening context.

Critical Question: Why would a moderator crop a screenshot to remove context unless they were trying to manufacture a narrative? This is not impartial moderation - this is evidence manipulation to justify a predetermined outcome.

    SECTION II: GROSSLY INADEQUATE INVESTIGATION

What Zora Did: Zora checked only 3 out of 21 accounts (14% sample size) and based his entire ruling on this insufficient investigation.

    His own words:
" I checked a sample (3/21). Those were not locked; they were banned the day after purchase. "

    Why This is Inadequate:

    • With $199.29 at stake and my reputation on the line, checking 14% of disputed accounts is negligent
    • The 3 accounts he checked happened to be banned, but he made no effort to verify the status of the remaining 18 accounts
    • Some accounts could be locked, others banned - you cannot draw conclusions from 3 accounts
    • Proper moderation requires checking all disputed accounts when the claim is that they're defective
Comparison to Proper Moderation: In Report #1 (handled by @Zulu on Oct 11-12), Zulu verified the email registration status properly before making a ruling. He enforced Sythe's recovery responsibility rules correctly and facilitated a complete refund. This is what proper moderation looks like.

Critical Question: Why did Zora put in less than 15% of the effort required when the stakes were clearly defined? This isn't just laziness - it's a failure to fulfill basic moderator responsibilities.

SECTION III: IGNORING CRITICAL TIMELINE EVIDENCE

The Timeline Proves Accounts Were Sold Defective:

October 11, 8:00 PM - I discovered 30 accounts had pre-registered emails and immediately opened Report #1 October 11-12 - Report #1 active, transaction not complete until dispute resolved October 12, 4:11 PM - Report #1 closes in my favor (Zulu ruling) October 12 - The 21 accounts in question get banned/locked October 13 - I file Report #2

    Critical Evidence Ignored by Zora:

    1. The Seller's Urgency to Sell Before October 12

In the original conversation logs (Read #27, #33), I provided evidence that:
    • Salesrsgp offered accounts at 30% below market value
    • He was rushing to complete the sale before October 12 (Sunday - known OSRS ban day)
    • This urgent discount sale happened immediately before mass account failures
Why would a seller urgently discount accounts by 30% and rush to sell before "ban day" unless he knew the accounts were flagged?

    2. Unprecedented Failure Rate
    • Report #1: 30 accounts with pre-registered emails (already compromised)
    • Report #2: 21 accounts locked/banned within 24 hours
    • Total: 51 out of 98 accounts (52%) delivered defective in under 48 hours
I purchase 100+ accounts monthly (verifiable on my Eldorado profile). I have never experienced a failure rate above 5%. A 52% failure rate is not normal - it's evidence the accounts were sold in a compromised state.

    3. Zero Gameplay on Banned Accounts

As stated in my original report:
"All 21 accounts have 0 game time, and are all in the exact same state that they were sold to me as, with the only difference being an email set."

The accounts were banned with zero gameplay after purchase. OSRS bans are based on activity over multiple days, not instant actions. These bans reflect the seller's prior activity, not mine.

    Zora's Dismissal:

"Post-sale bans are not covered under recovery/unlock guarantees."

This completely misses the point. These weren't "post-sale bans" - these were accounts sold in a flagged/compromised state that resulted in bans before I could even use them. The timing proves this.

Critical Question: Why did Zora ignore all timeline evidence, the seller's suspicious behavior, the unprecedented failure rate, and the zero gameplay logs? The evidence clearly shows these accounts were defective at the time of sale.

    __________________________________________________________________________________

SECTION IV: REFUSAL TO ENGAGE WITH OFFERED EVIDENCE

What I Did: I reached out to Zora multiple times via Sythe PM & Discord offering to provide:
    • Eternal Client logs showing 0 gameplay on all 21 accounts
    • Full context of all conversations (not cropped screenshots)
    • Any additional verification he needed
Zora's Response: Complete silence. He never responded to a single message.

Then in his final verdict, Zora claimed:
"Please note that this decision was not taken lightly. The report was carefully reviewed and discussed among multiple staff members."

How can a decision be "carefully reviewed" when the moderator refused to engage with the evidence I offered to provide? This isn't careful review - this is predetermined bias.

    __________________________________________________________________________________

    SECTION V: ENABLING A SCAMMER - REAL-WORLD HARM

The Direct Consequence of Zora's Ruling:

After Zora's decision protected Salesrsgp and branded me as a scammer, Salesrsgp proceeded to exit scam 4 additional victims:

    1. VICTIM #1: Salesrsgp scam
    2. VICTIM #2: salesrsgp exit scam
    3. VICTIM #3: Salesrsgp scammer
    4. VICTIM #4: Salesrsgp Exit Scam
These people lost their hard-earned money because Zora's ruling gave Salesrsgp credibility to continue operating on Sythe. Had Zora conducted a proper investigation and ruled fairly, these scams could have been prevented.

    The Pattern is Clear:
    • I reported 30 defective accounts → Zulu investigated properly, I got refund
    • I reported 21 defective accounts → Zora dismissed it, gave me Do Not Trade
    • Salesrsgp continues scamming → 4 more victims lose money
    • Salesrsgp exit scams and disappears
    __________________________________________________________________________________

SECTION VI: UNFAIR "DO NOT TRADE" STATUS

    Zora's Justification:

"is issued Do Not Trade for: 1) Poor trading practices: submitting a materially inaccurate report. 2) Attempting to pressure a refund through DMs rather than using the thread process, which borders on extortion."

    Both Claims Are Demonstrably False:

    Claim 1: "Materially inaccurate report"
    • The report stated accounts were locked/banned and unusable - this was TRUE
    • Zora checked only 3 accounts and found they were banned, not locked - but they were still unusable, which was my claim
    • The distinction between "locked" and "banned" doesn't change the core issue: I received 21 defective accounts
    • This was not a "materially inaccurate report" - it was a good-faith report about unusable accounts
    Claim 2: "Extortion"
    • As proven in Section I, the cropped screenshot removed all threatening context from Salesrsgp
    • I was negotiating standard middleman protocol (refund first, then accounts)
    • This is how every single Sythe middleman transaction works
    • Calling standard negotiation "extortion" is absurd
    The Real Impact:

I sell 100+ accounts monthly on Eldorado with a 99% rating (proof: Safest Gold and Accounts Marketplace for Gamers | Eldorado.gg). I am an established, legitimate business operator.

    The Do Not Trade status:
    • Prevents me from trading on Sythe's marketplace
    • Brands me as a scammer when I'm actually the victim
    • Damages my reputation built over years of honest trading
    • Was issued based on manipulated evidence and an incomplete investigation
    __________________________________________________________________________________

SECTION VII: VIOLATIONS OF SYTHE'S OWN RULES

Sythe's Account Selling Rules (per Report #1, Read #11):

    Moderator Zulu correctly stated:
"Anyone who wishes to sell an account must maintain 'recovery responsibility' (they must refund their buyer if the account is recovered or becomes locked and they are unable to unlock it) for at least a month after the sale. If you are an account seller and you do not specifically mention your recovery responsibility in your Terms of Service, by default you have recovery responsibility for two years."

    Application to This Case:
    • Salesrsgp sold me accounts that became locked/banned within 24-48 hours
    • Under Sythe rules, he had recovery responsibility for these accounts
    • He refused to unlock them and refused to refund
    • Zora should have enforced the same rule Zulu enforced in Report #1
Instead, Zora Created a New Exception:
"Post-sale bans are not covered under recovery/unlock guarantees."

This contradicts Sythe's established rules. The rules don't distinguish between locks and bans when accounts become unusable shortly after sale. The seller has responsibility for delivering working accounts.
    __________________________________________________________________________________

I am formally requesting the following actions:

    1. Immediate Removal of Do Not Trade Status
    • The status was issued based on manipulated evidence (cropped screenshot) and an inadequate investigation (14% sample size)
    • I am the victim, not the perpetrator
    • My business reputation should be restored
    2. Full Refund of $199.29 for 21 Defective Accounts
    • These accounts were sold in a compromised state, evidenced by:
      • 52% failure rate within 48 hours
      • Seller's urgent 30% discount before "ban day"
      • Zero gameplay before bans
      • Timeline proving accounts were flagged before purchase
    • Sythe's recovery responsibility rules should apply (as they did in Report #1)
    3. Public Acknowledgment of Error
    • The ruling was based on incomplete investigation and misrepresented evidence
    • Future users deserve to know that cropped screenshots and 14% investigations are not acceptable standards
    • This will prevent similar injustices
    4. Investigation into Zora's Moderation Practices
    • Evidence manipulation (cropping screenshots)
    • Inadequate investigation (14% sample)
    • Refusal to engage with offered evidence
    • Creating exceptions to established rules
    • Enabling a scammer who went on to victimize 4 more people
    __________________________________________________________________________________

    WHY THIS MATTERS FOR SYTHE

This isn't just about my case. This is about the integrity of Sythe's dispute resolution process.

If Zora's ruling stands, it sets the following precedents:

    1. Moderators can crop screenshots to remove context
    2. Checking 14% of disputed items is sufficient investigation
    3. Moderators can ignore offered evidence and still claim "careful review"
    4. "Post-sale bans" exempts sellers from all responsibility, even when accounts are sold compromised
    5. Victims can be punished with Do Not Trade while scammers continue operating
These precedents would destroy trust in Sythe's moderation.

I've been a member of this community since April 2023. I have 1,639 posts, positive trading history, and I run a legitimate business. I'm not a scammer - I'm a victim of both Salesrsgp and moderator misconduct.

    The Broader Impact:
    • 4 people were scammed after Zora's ruling protected Salesrsgp
    • Those victims lost money they could not afford to lose
    • This happened because incomplete investigation gave a scammer credibility

COMPLAINT AGAINST MODERATOR ZORA - BIASED RULING & FINANCIAL DAMAGES

    Hi @RW Shop /ChatGPT,

I shall reply to your accusations to hopefully provide you with a better understanding of the process of your previous report.

The screenshot I provided was indeed cropped. It was to provide context, this was not a piece of evidence.
Shortly after you made the report I determined that the accounts would need to get unlocked, and I told you to DM salesrsgp the accounts in question that needed unlocking. He couldn't help you out without knowing which accounts needed unlocking.

This was not a middleman transaction. You purchased accounts and you claimed a portion had gotten locked.

Your report [Resolved] stated "The original trade consisted of 98 accounts, a return of 30 accounts with registered email was processed in the last report." and "Now I require SalesRSGP to unlock these accounts, Jagex is forcing a complete recovery." and "All 21 accounts have 0 game time, and are all in the exact same state that they were sold to me as, with the only difference being an email set."
So your claim stating all these accounts are locked was false. It is not our job to verify if every account was locked or not - that's on whoever makes the report. As I mentioned in the verdict, you were still free to make a new report mentioning specifics accounts that were locked.

You chose to buy these accounts regardless of the mentioned variables. It seems like you were perfectly aware of the risks.
You made a report about accounts being locked - not about being banned. Regardless, post-sale bans are not covered under recovery/unlock guarantees. There is no way for us to verify why an account has been banned. They could be flagged, the buyer could be flagged, the IP switch could cause it. For these reasons we've always had the precedent that pre-sale bans are at the risk of the seller and post-sale bans are at the risk of the buyer.

The bans were issued 1 day after you received the login info. There is no way for us to verify if there was indeed no gameplay after purchase. Bans are usually based on activity over multiple days (in my personal experience) but they can definitely occur within a day as well. In the past I've had it personally happen that shortly after I sold an account, it got banned. This seems to be more common with goldfarm accounts. It is however also very possible that the seller was flagged - but again we have no way to verify this.

You're correct. I have not engaged with you nor with salesrsgp outside of the report thread. Although not always the case, we prefer to handle everything on the thread only as this is more transparent. I have not seen your message on Discord either as I don't handle much there via DM (including things unrelated to sythe moderation).

@Salesrsgp was willing to unlock these accounts for you during the report. When he started this process, he found out the vast majority were not actually locked at all but banned. He did not break any rules and your report was considered mostly invalid. Just like most countries on Sythe users are considered innocent until proven guilty. Your report did not prove this user was guilty of scamming nor breaking other rules.

It does. Sellers are liable for locked accounts - not for banned accounts.

It does. The seller indeed has responsibility for delivering working accounts but bans occurring after delivery do not fall under our recovery liability rule.

    Some final notes:
Your post is both a dispute and a report. For that reason we have not moved it to the dispute section, but normally you may dispute a verdict. Especially when new information is presented, like how salesrsgp threatened he would recover every account he sold you. This can then be reviewed by the moderator who handled the report together with another moderator. If a user then again disagrees with the decision, they may request for a higher ranked moderator (in this case an admin) to review the dispute again.
In this case you also made a report and reports against Sythe staff can only be handled by admins.
This means you may expect a decision on both your accusations against me and a decision on whether or not the DNT will be lifted. Please also bear in mind that lengthy reports such as these are rarely handled by just one staff member. Both the first report that was handled by Zulu and the second report that was handled by me, were discussed between multiple staff members. The decision for a DNT was unanimous.

COMPLAINT AGAINST MODERATOR ZORA - BIASED RULING & FINANCIAL DAMAGES

I've looked over both the original report and this one, I think a few things are clear:
    • @RW Shop misrepresented the state of the 21 accounts, as a demonstrable portion were banned and not locked as they claimed, which is important as bans after the sale are usually not covered under warranty or Sythe precedent unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
    • @RW Shop then heavily pressured the other party to refund as quickly as possible, rather than waiting for the ruling on the report.
    • @RW Shop was given nearly two weeks to refute @Zora's conclusion before the ruling was posted on the report and chose not to do so.
    • The day that @Salesrsgp began scamming users, @RW Shop sent a list of logins to @Zora, claiming those were locked the entire time.
It's clear that @RW Shop has acted in bad faith numerous times throughout these reports, by misreporting the nature of the accounts to a degree, attempting to pressure a refund in private, and by only supplying further supporting account locks evidence ex post facto to the original report, as opposed to when @Zora demonstrated that a portion were banned over two weeks prior. The circumstances of the claimed account locks however are now impossible to verify, as the timing of the evidence overlaps with @Salesrsgp's exit scam, and may even be a result of said scam, as their PM history demonstrates premeditation that predates presentation of evidence by @RW Shop here by several hours.

As mentioned here, @Salesrsgp owes @RW Shop a refund for ultimately deciding to recover the accounts. @RW Shop will keep their DNT, please Request a Pardon should you wish to return to the market.

    ---------

I see no wrongdoing on the part of @Zora here, he worked with the evidence that was available to him at the time. After @Zora found fault with the state of the few accounts he examined, the burden of proof shifted to @RW Shop to provide evidence that supported the latter's claim that the remaining accounts were locked as opposed to banned, and as previously stated the latter party failed to provide such evidence in a timely manner.
