New money sink idea for RS

I'd post this on the RSB's, but i'm perm banned there, so i'll post it here

since RS is looking for any way to get rid of as much GP that is coming in from bots, wouldn't it be cool if they made titles cost coin?

it would be like the real medieval days, say for example, if you want to be proclaimed as a Lord, that should cost like 200m, that way no peasant noobs would be able to get their hands on the title, like it is now, with that bull crap loyalty points anyone can get just for subscribing.

and another title would be King, which should cost say 1B, wouldn't that be awesome? there could be so much more titles like Ser, Ranger, Jester, Lord Commander, etc.

having that woudl be the greatest money sink for RS, to balance out its economy, because we can all agree, bot farming is gettnig out of control by each day, that loyalty idea is fucking stupid, they should have done my idea instead, if theyre so desperately in search of money holes.

 

Well, the loyalty programme was completely designed so Jagex could keep the flow of paid memberships steady. Now there is a reason not to let one's membership run out while they aren't playing for a bit. Jagex obviously cares more about this than the Runescape economy lol.

Yeah construction/prayer/herblore are actually all cheaper to train than they once were. Otherwise there are 0 money sinks except getting killed by an NPC and no one gets your loot and you don't either, which is exceedingly rare.

I personally find the membership thing to be pretty much Jagex's own form of RWT. Does anyone else remember that one banner for jagfest or whatever it was called, runefest 2010?

 

I honestly don't think people would pay 1b for king in front of their name lol.

Plus, I doubt Jagex willgo back on something they've already implemented

 

If I was the head of Jagex, I would secretly on level 3 accounts create GP using my Mod account, then sell using Playerauctions.

That's exactly right. My first thought when I get the e-mail telling me I won't get points if I don't renew. It's summer, I don't wanna pay for something I won't use once.

2. - You do realize they monitor everything you do, right?

The loyalty programme is for membership fees Jagex wants, so it's unlikely that it's being swapped for GP. Also, no one would ever buy 'King' if it'd cost 1B. I wouldn't even buy it if it would be 10M.

 

I know I will get a lot of hate from this but I'll post my opinion anyways.

Jagex should completely reset the game. Levels, wealth, quests, everything. You start at lvl 3 again. This would remove all of the rares from the game which Jagex isn't fond of to begin with. If they were to do this, I would only support it if they found a way to disable every form of bot. Runescape would be bot free, everyone would be legit.

 

Of course there would be rich people who would. Most of us on sythe just view gp as real life cash, but look at people like chessy, they have billions and see them as pure pixels. They wouldn't even equate it to spending $400 on a pixel name

 

Paying more for bank space? 10mil buys you some spaces. etc etc.
