    Why can scammers come back?

I was thinking about it, and it really doesn't make any sense. If someone scams, and then is banned for it, they should not be allowed to come back even if they do re-pay.

Them scamming in the first place shows that they do have bad intentions, and would scam. If they pay back, then what's to say when they're trusted with a bit more, they won't scam that?

And this means that people can scam, and if the scammed members doesn't report them, or doesn't have enough proof, then they're off the hook. But if the member does have proof, they just pay back, and try it again.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Why would you allow banned members to come back, even if they do re-pay the scammed?

    Why can scammers come back?

Its at the staffs discretion and done on a case by case basis.

    Why can scammers come back?

I think if they show that they're willing to make up for what they've done.

AFTER doing so, they should be able to come back with a TwC. As long as they've paid back everything they scammed.

It also most likely depends on the person and how the effected the community. If they posted more good than bad. If they were helpful or not.

    Why can scammers come back?

I guess that makes more sense. I thought it was an automatic "if you pay back, you get unbanned" for everyone.

    Why can scammers come back?

Well, I think its because Sythe is pretty big, and they can't IP ban all the scammers out there because that would take a long time, and there are many things taken into account.

    Why can scammers come back?

Well, it's better than the victim getting nothing right?

The scammers who repaid should get a TWC though.

    Why can scammers come back?

No way man after they paid back they should be unbanned and just get a twc instead? that's fuckin crazy... they should get banned automatically no questions asked, ignore disputes etc. I don't even support the "I got hacked" part. It's just the same with IP, you are responsible with your account, if you get hacked then that's it, your responsible for it. I'm just saying coz I just noticed lately too many people starts getting hacked. I mean there are people that really got hacked but man I just despise this kind of reasoning, It's too easy to pretend you got hacked.

    Why can scammers come back?

Yeah, you won't support it until the day you get hacked...

Really I only support it if they claim to be hacked (even though most are lies, some are legit).
I was hacked along time ago, and am only heere because I was able to repay the people the hacker scammed.

    Why can scammers come back?

Mods can tell if they got hacked or not, if the hacker is using a different IP not in the same general area of the user then they were consider hacked.

You didn't read my whole post I don't think. I said it DEPENDS WHO was the person that scammed. Using this as an example:

Let's say "Firez" scams 100k. He get's banned.
He asks if he can come back if he pays back what he scammed. It would most likely be a yes since Firez is a good member of Sythe.

    Why can scammers come back?

To be honest, it pisses me off more when "good" members scam on impulse and want to come back then it does if some nobody who just joined does it.

    Why can scammers come back?

And in some cases people have been allowed back with a market ban because they have something to offer the community.

Better that they pay it back, rather than not though.

    Why can scammers come back?

You are a complete idiot. I did quests for you on your other account for 50m, you stole 50m from me, so I file a report, then you file a report for 350m?

    Why can scammers come back?

    Interesting factors.

I personally think if a major scam occurs, a TWC should be automatically given to the scammer once they return from their period of being banned.

    However, I positively like this.

I think it would reduce the amount of scammer, certify an exclusive 'rank' once verified and would definitely benefit in identifying and determining whether you propose a user is hacked or not.

But back on topic, there is an issue known as dynamic ip.

    Why can scammers come back?

It also matters what the community means to that person.
Say Karl would scam once, and dispute his ban because he's really sorry, paid it all back etc, I'd rather have him back than some 80-posts-joinedThisMonth kind of guy. Karl cares for the community, no-namer cares for the money.
