Should I get a tattoo? Where? What?

Not sure exactly where this belongs.


^That's me. I'm sure you'll notice the douchebag personality. Anyways, what tattoo should I get? I don't have a last name that I can work with. My only nick is "Turtle" and the only things that I really love are women and music. I'm thinking about working with a silhouette possibly. Really no clue yet. Also looking to get ripped at football camp soon, may do it after that.

imo, do not get a tattoo.

they are incredibly superficial things that you will most likely not like nearly as much 5-10-30 years from now

 

My first name is Jared. So if/when I get a tattoo I will get Studly J on my back probably.

I would suggest that to you, you seem to have the confidence to pull it off.

Studly "(first letter of your first name)", but I would suggest you get it on one side of your chest or the other.

 

In all honesty, I would strongly discourage it atm, as it seems like you're not even sure of what you want. It's permanent, so get something you know you won't regret.
Anyways, generally speaking, just get something, when you know what you want, that means something to you, and not just looks cool.

What I'd do is wait until you are positive what you want. What happened with me is I just came across a quote in a book I was reading and I knew instantly I wanted to have it tattoo-ed. I only advise tats if they actually mean something to you, but to each their own.

 

To be honest, if you have to ask a bunch of Internet kids who you've never seen in real life what you should get permanently scarred into your skin, you're not ready to get a tattoo.

But whatev it's your body.. get a sun around your navel imo

 

If you were to get ripped, I would suggest some tribal on your bicep. It would work with your skin tone. Just don't let yourself get any whiter than you are.

Oh, and throw away those shitty sunglasses and get something more appealling please.

 

very dumb question to ask other people. If you're going to waste your time\money on something that is going to be permanent you should get something YOU want if you can't think of anything obviously it isn't for you.

I pretty much agree with Mohtasa that if you're asking us you probably aren't ready yet.

 

As most people said, don't get a tattoo just because. I have a tattoo that I love, but I sat on the idea of it for a good two years before I actually went and got it. You shouldn't be thinking about style, and you shouldn't be asking other people what to do, because whatever your style is now, it'll be something else in 5 years, guaranteed.

If you need to ask where or what, you shouldn't be getting a tattoo. When you find something deeply personal that you know you want to immortalize on your body, you won't have to ask anyone else for advice on it.

 

Get something unique that means something to you, don't get a tattoo for the sake of getting a tattoo. Personally, I'm getting the tattoo "No Regrets" done on my back in the next few days because it means greatly to me. Fuck what anyone else thinks, if it means something to you then go with it and don't look back.

That's dumb. For how long are you going to stay with your girlfriend? I doubt for too long. What if you break up, what are you going to do with her name on your body?

I would suggest like everyone here have done to not get a tattoo just for the look but rather something that greatly means something to you like your mom if you love her dearly. It seems like you don't know what you want and asking kids on the internet, it seems your not ready.

 

I wouldn't get a tattoo as you are clearly going through a phase (as teenagers do) and your style will inevitably change.

 

If you don't know what tattoo you want, and where to get it. You are not ready. Tattoos are a symbol of appreciation towards something you are devoted too. Not something to flash at people. I went through this phase, glad i didn't get one. Hope you don't either.

It wouldn't be. I'm not so sure about it, I just posted to get opinions and see if something really sparked. And I'd dig the one you're getting, living life with no regrets means a lot to me especially with my story.

With all of this, and my own actual thoughts on it, I probably won't be getting one. I have no clue what my thoughts on life will be later in life, and what kind of person I'll be. Also, I can't get one for 4 years because It's too late. Military.
