    Stop hosting Gold4rs's advertisements.

I think its time Sythe finds a better advertisement/sponsorship to promote then Gold4rs. With them scamming everyone, and their poor customer service (along with the USFine), its deeming innappropriate in my eyes. I'm sure there are many other willing participants than Gold4rs's advertisements.

While they were powerleveling me they have scammed me, aswell as a large sum of money off an account I was selling to them.

    Post your opinions.

They are just giving Sythe their filthy blood scamming money in exchange for extracting new victims. When a new member comes to Sythe, he can be very weary of dealing with people he's never met before. He knows Gold4rs is a company, and just by that mentality he chooses Gold4rs over Sythe. Gold4rs, greedy within its own roots, sides with the person who owns the account, and recovers it both ways, hoping that they keep some of the portion of the intake they recieve. They are well known scammers, across the global market and allowing them to Advertise here, on our home turf is distasteful, and unnattractive to our users, whom a portion has had horrible experiences dealing with them. No, they don't scam 100%, but they scam at every nook and cranny they can hoping to slide by a few dollars (or hundreds). If we are going to promote a good message for our future users, we need to not allow this company to plaster their ugly face on the top of every page.

I bet for every $1 they give sythe, they get $6 from scamming someone who clicked on the link.

An account I bought back in May was recovered, and I chargedback my payment. They still had the audacity to call me and say "Why you scam us, why you chargeback", after repeated attempts to contact these fuckers.

A while back I ordered powerleveling from them (86-95 strength on my pure). It was 1 defense to start, and when they finished it was 16. Not only that, they somehow lost my firecape, and my 40M I had (when mills were more expensive), mysteriously vanished. It took them about a week longer than they promised aswell.

I sold an account to them, and after 14 days they said "Account was hacked". Account had around 400M on it and it was CLEANED afterwards when I got it back. It had their IP at the top. They probably just sold off the free gold they scammed me.

So should Sythe be accepting this "Blood money" they get? Ofcourse they don't scam on Gold trades. If they started to scam on Gold trades then NOONE and I mean NOONE would buy from their ass. They buy gold for shit ass prices and scam it, so why should they scam when someone has payed .9+ for a million? They are already ripping them off in the first place.

Have these so called "willing participants" contact any of the admins who'll redirect them to Sythe.

The site isn't free to run, and until we find replacements for these ads, they'll be up there until they're outbidded.

^ Yes, and it takes away from the quality of Sythe aswell. The Playerauctions one is fine because its a staple among some Sythe members, but i'm sure there's another sponser for the site, other then Gold4RS.

Well the banners I really don't mind because you choose to click on them and they are paid for. With the whole Usfine deal they were spamming their review thread with ads which is a whole different deal.

Totally agree, and PlayerAuctions is more like a middleman between traders in Sythe, not anything like Gold4rs.

Support, You have a better chance of getting scammed by Gold4rs than on Sythe anyway and the Sythe community is much better than their customer service. So long as there is another advertiser, Sythe should stop advertising for Gold4rs.

So by allowing spontaneous scammers (not scamming 100% of the time), and well known scammers, allows sythe the money to be held? I'm sure if we post looking for sponsors we could find one that could atleast match Gold4RS.

I don't think companies that scam should recieve special treatment then Sythe members, even if they are helping fund sythe. By promoting their business, we are allowing members to get scammed by them aswell.

By adverts do you mean the banners at the top of the page?
If so, those are needed to keep Sythe alive.
    I don't see a problem with those.

This is sort of a Lose Lose situation until we find a replacement, which according to some is hard to find.

Yes I agree, but I think we should be looking to find a new company to advert.

Unfortunately this is easier said then done. I am sure sythe and the admins or whoever takes care of the ads is always looking for the highest bidder to get the most money to host the server.

No support, like snow said, they pay Sythe to advertise there. Also it's not up to us to pick whoever advertises here.

Yea, IMO it kind of sends a mixed message. However, thats assuming Sythe can afford not have them.

    No support.
We're the best place for them to host their ads. We're the most popular RS site besides RuneHQ that isn't competition or affiliated, giving us great profit from the ads.

If you want to piss them off, click on it. They pay more than $2 for that click.

So find one? Or pay for the ad space yourself?

Don't just bitch about something without offering a way to fix it, saying "get another sponsor" isn't a feasible option. Like I said, either pay for it yourself or find someone who would.

Gold4RS is a major RWT site.

Therefore with their advertisement fee generating a steady revenue which is keeping Sythe online, you should be grateful.

If you have either experienced or heard about negative aspects of Gold4RS, or you do not trust them, simply do not click on the banner.

    Simple as that.
