My first few attempts at Gimp

^ Got bored and decided to amke him one, don't plan on him using it at all
3. Facebook photo for my friends producing page

^ I made it so it cuts off so it doesn't look as good so I re-did it.

4. Made for my friend anxma, first time trying a linking sig, what you think

What you guys think as a beginner?

 

Look I won't tell you I like your work yet, but you're definitely on the right track. I think you need to work on your color choice and blending.

What program are you currently using?

I think you're doing alright considered you've just started, can't say I'm a fan of every letter having a light white background. Just play around with it a bit more.

 

1 is lame, the rest are pretty good imo

Quite good for your first attempts.
I think u need to focus on your style.
Your currently just using mostly destroyed text with a glow and some wires.
You should try something else like a dark theme, go for some darkers colours and have a contrast of different colour schemes, themes, maybe use some renders etc.

Other than that, I think you are progressing quite well for a starter.
Another way you could improve your gfx is by using photoshop.
Personally, its more advanced and has more tools.

I think number 2 and 5 are the best..

I also think
"Free services", "Vouches" and "My own music"
in your signiture are very good, if these are yours it would be nice to see more like this, however if it isn't your own work nevermind

 

I like the background and render for your first one but the text is way to extreme. It takes away from the focus of the sig and doesn't really fit.

 

Personally, I have never used Gimp so I don't know how easy it was to make the signatures you made. I like the first one though. Very nice job. Keep 'em coming.
