I'm upgrading my ram, how many bots will I be able to run???

do you really need to run 10+ bots?

It would be nice, how much would a desktop cost with great specs, like quad core, 8gb RAM, 2gb video, etc.

 

$1k at the most. A few days ago, one was on woot.com for $700.

 

My best guess would be 5 because your processor is slow ram is useless without processing power to back it up

 

You can upgrade your processor, get a new motherboard and new processor.

 

yea its not all on ram, you need a good processor along with the ram. i have a phenom 2 1100t x6, 8gb dd3 and 2 gtx 580's and i can run probably 30-40 at once lol. it heavily depends on ur processor though...

Too much. It's not worth it, don't waste your time with it. The better option would be buying a new computer.

Upgrading your MOBO isn't expensive.

Ram isn't as important as your CPU for botting purposes, and the cost associated with getting 10bots running on one PC isn't worth it. You could easily pickup 2 bare bones systems (with decent CPUS), pick up a little more RAM, some old spare GFX cards (I had 2 3600's laying around)and load up a couple free copies of LINUX.

Oh and I want a screenie of that laptop running 25 bots (efficiently). P2P/F2P IDGAF. I have one of the sweetest set-ups money can buy and I'm pretty sure 25 bots would make my cooling system go WTF!!!!

 

Not necessarily, My friend has a Laptop he bought new for $1400 It's 3 years old and in great condition, he uses it to run 15+ bots as well as play SC2. It works great for gaming.

 

3 years isn't that long of a lifetime for a computer. the one I am on now has been around for 10+ years and has been on 24\7 [minus restarting here and there] for the past 2 years or so since I got heavy into botting and the only thing that has went wrong with it was 2 fans died [ due to the amount of fur in my room due to my animals] and my sister snapped the video card in 2 when she got pissed off at me when I was a kid.
