I'm upgrading my ram, how many bots will I be able to run???

I'm upgrading my ram, how many bots will I be able to run??? I'm upgrading from 4GB of RAM to 8GB of Ram I have a centrino duo core processor. I'm wondering how many bots (RSBuddy) I will be able to run =D Thnx

 

10+ I have about the same and I can run as many as I want no lag I've done over 20

 

Im just now upgrading to 4gb of RAM, can you please tell me how many you can run right now?

 

I can run only 3 or 4 /: If no other programs like 5 =D thanks guys

 

DON'T UPGRADE for the sole reason of being able to run more bots. Your processor will MAX OUT before your RAM does.

Buy a new computer with a better processor!

install ubuntu, uses less ram so you can run more bots

 

Now I understand It's not really my ram that holds me back its my shitty duo core processor ): WTF should I do,

 

as others said your computer will probably be maxing out after the use of 5-6 gigs of ram. just save up and look around on sites like ebay I got a new computer for 350 bucks that is 3.6ghz quad core and 8 gigs of ram. just look around even if you have only 150-200 bucks u can find something as good or better than what you have then you can dedicate 1 100% to botting and the other bot and do other stuff.

Also something you may want to do is sell the computer you have now to help pay for your new one if you have a way to get online in order to buy a new one.

 

Fuck my parents -_- they won't let me buy a new computer because they think there is no point, also since this computer is only "2 years old." It's sad I have around 2000 dollars saved up but they won't let me do what I want with it. I'm only 16 so it is'nt like I need to start saving up for retirement or anything. How much would an 1080p full hd laptop with 8 gb of ram, quad core, (I can supply operating system), 1gb hd video card cost on ebay. If I got something like this off of the HP website it would fucking cost 1600 bucks which I could afford but it is a bit much. If I could get it for cheap I could probably convice my parents to let me purchase it =D

2gb NVIDIA graphics card
8gb ram
with all the latest addons...

Cost me $1199 on ebay (Australia) - but the laptop is so advanced that the next best alternative in stores is costing about $2400 (HP) with lower specs...

The online shopping world is taking over society. Everything online is cheaper than in stores nowadays.

I wouldn't recommend a laptop for extensive botting... They tend to overheat a lot more frequently.

You could always try investing in a vps if you only want to bot

 

In 3 months I have made alot more $$ than what the laptop itself cost me....its not like I bought it for runescape only. They only overheat if you don't have a cooling system/pad underneath. I run it 24/7 with a 12+ p2p bots.

EDIT: The laptop maxes out at 25 bots. But I cbf to buy 25 pins a month and its an effort to manage considering you need to transfer loot from gold-farmers every few days..

 

Regardless if you have a great cooling system or not laptops are not ment for extreme use which is more than likely what will happen if most people bot. regardless of how cool you keep it, it will take a lot away from its life span and or your power supplies life span. it's a good idea though like you said if you're using it for other things than botting but I'd go with a desktop as they're cheaper, easier to repair etc. etc.

 

I'm going to be using this for botting, school work, video editing, gaming, etc

 

depending on what games you're going to probably want a desktop by the sounds of things. laptops have always been pretty terrible for gaming honestly.
