Yep, tone down those soft brushes a bit. Background is really plain and needs some texture or effects to give it some substance.

Bit monotone for my liking also. If you want my advice, save any colour adjustments, gradients or photo filters until after all your effects (including textures, c4d AND lighting) are in place. Should help with reducing the monotone a bit.

 

The lighting definitely needs to be stronger in the backdrop.
Also, a small dialating crossing lines gradient that goes into transparency would rock coming from the bottom left corner.
I'm almost certain nobody will understand what I juts said.
