Regarding Recent Downtime

Hi Guys,

As you're probably aware, The site had suffered roughly 2 days worth of downtime, this was due to a fire at the physical location of a vital part of one of the systems used at the datacenter to where Sythe.Org is hosted. All seems to be back in order, without any or substantial amount of data lost.

Thanks for your loyalty and patience.

 

There has been no lasting harm done

Glad to hear no damage was done, not very often do you hear of a fire at a hosting company. I never have at least.. Any clue on what caused the fire?

Just wondering is Sythe ALWAYS down like this? Within the week that I've been here, like half of the time it's been down... It's disappointing.

 

Probably just overheating, it was the UPS System, which.. naturally would probably get pretty hot.

No, this is the largest downtime i've ever seen while here.

Just saying, the site went down when I left for camp and it came back up when I got home.

 

So happy Sythe is back up ! :]
