$325 Fine, Driving with no license

Alright so basically, My mom is on vacation. I took her car out at 3am for mcdicks, i wasn't speeding or anything.. Cop pulled me over because it was late, I had no license to present to him therefore I have a fine for $325. I am 16 years old, with no job or anything. I heard if you go down to city hall (when you pay fines). and talk to the justice guy you can have it reduced? Is this true ?? My mom just filed bankruptcy, and had my baby sister last night.. Do i tell her or keep it to myself ?? What do I do???? PLEASE HELP

 

If you can't afford to pay the ticket, then you need to tell her so she can pay for it.

My advice would be to contact your mum, and try and work something out between her. Or state that your mother has filed bankruptcy, and see if you can work something out with the authorities.

1. Cops don't generally pull you over for it 'being late'.
2. I doubt any mother would go on vacation a few hours after having a child.
3. I doubt any mother would take an infant on vacation with her, and if not, I have no idea where she would be since she probably can't afford a babysitter, and you don't seem responsible enough to look after it.
4. You wouldn't be fined for that (read my post below).

I think that this is a lame attempt at getting some donations... Sorry if I'm wrong.

 

Go to the court and dispute it. Most of the time they'll cut the fine in half or just take it away completely if you have no prior offences. Let me warn you that you might spend the whole day in court waiting.

Oh, and I've been pulled over before without a license (I had one - just not on me), and so have many of my friends. They just ask that you come to their office as soon as possible and prove you have a license, or they will give you a ticket.

Sometimes they look you up as well.

I call bull on the original poster's story.

 

First i've no problem believing you if you can post a photo of said ticket. Secondly, do you even have a drivers license? Because if you don't it was extremely reckless and I support the officer decision.

Whats the difference if he actually got a ticket or not. If he did we gave him advice, if he didn't he didn't. Posting pictures and proving he got one won't make a difference.

 

He's not asking for donations, so why do you guys come up with a conclusion that he is trying to get donations? Kid's just looking for advice. And to be honest, I'd tell the story to a relative or a close friend. If you have an xbox 360 or anything, sell the shit on Craigslist to pay for it. Tell your mom you did a stupid and that you will pay for it.

 

People do this for attention, he probably expects people to offer to help.

 

Like we would offer to help for his poor actions. It's his fault and he needs to pay for his own way out.

the 1st time i got caught driving with no license i went to the court and the judge let me off because it was my first time breaking the law, havn't been caught since though..

i just put up 'P' plates (aus thing) even though im still on my learners

just get a part time job you'll get the money in a week or two, no worries

 

Talk to the authorities about community service possibility. You won't get off scot free because you need to take responsibility for your actions. Best to tell your mom and try and have her help you hiding the truth will never get you far in life.

 

He will HAVE to tell his mom because he used her car.

She will see a fat $325 ticket.

 

Get off your ass and find a job to pay it off.
