Biggest scam involving runescape?

Back in 2004 or so when I first started RuneScape I saved up all my cash and finally bought an Easter Egg (they were 250K ea then). I went to sell it one day and had it in the trade screen.

He accepted on the first screen and then canceled the 2nd one..and I accidentally clicked on my Easter egg and ate it.

I learned from then on to keep my items "noted".

Other big scam was when I first joined this forum.. a well respected, trustworthy member scammed me of 567M

In the month I've been here I've also got charged back well over $800 on Paypal.

 

The climbing boots thing was a big scandal, but that's sorta off topic...

Biggest scam I've ever experienced would have been when someone tried to scam a maxed pure from my. Nearly lost everything due to a fake email address. But I didn't. Honestly, I've never been scammed for a large ammount of money, I always use a MM or make the other guys go first. :3

 

lost $250 to a dumbass $100 donor.

He took $1000 paypal from some bk random, and was retarded enough to keep it, and of course the $1000 was charged back, his paypal got all fucked up and took all his payments back, and I was out $250.

 

I remember a long time ago a trusted member on Sythe, I think was a Mod or a MM, scammed someone's Party Hat. Sweet jesus it was some drama.

When I was new to Sythe I attempted to sell my Zerker. Without knowing about imposters and protocol to follow at that time someone impersonated a omm and cleaned me. It was only 15m but it was disappointing nevertheless

 

A $400 RS Account (Why I left PowerBot to Come back to Sythe) Bought an Account of a staff member was all good for about 3 Months Tryed to log In 1 day to see its Wrong Pass, Account also had over 420m On it.

Any way, Now Im playing on my Old Pure with 40m.. (All from selling accounts on Sythe)

Bought an account from someone for 70 dollars. Two days later the account got recovered.

 

So he lives nere you, scammed you $900 and you did nothing about it? lol what a dumbass.

Since when did the police do anything about anything? you're from England god dammit if you want something done do it yourself.

 

In 2005, my full rune, and 300k amulet of strength, everything, got scammed, this "high" level 80 ish or somthing scammed me, he said lets fight for fun cos he said he can 1 hit my armour in a certain place in the wilderness if im wearing exactly what i was wearing, and as i know him for a week or 2 i trusted him, i was so dumb at the time and was only 9.
So I went to a HIGH level of wilderness with only a few lobsters and the guy started maging me and killed me, it may not seem alot but in them days the inflation is like 50x today + i was a newb.-.-

 

Lost 2000M to user educator (Rabs) who had 100+ vouches, staff vouches etc. Lost also over 1k due to paypal chargebacks.

 

Most I've been scammed for I think is a recovered account that I lost 300M on lol.
