OSX Lion RS trouble

Anyone else upgrade to OSX lion in the past couple days and gain RS troubles? I can only play in Safemode atm. I guess that's alright though, it's not too bad. I was curious if anyone had found any fixes for this though. I've emptied both my jagex and system caches and reinstalled java multiple times. No luck. When opening a support ticket to Jagex they copied and pasted another mods cache solution which didn't help -_-

Any ideas?

The simple answer is that OS Lion's new Applet2 is not supported by RuneScape at the moment. You can either :

Use the Mac client which bypasses the browser plugin altogether.

In Safari, start up RuneScape in Safe Mode (hold/press the S key while the applet loads), enter fullscreen mode, then switch to OpenGL.

 

I'm not sure if this will work until the applet2 is accepted, since i do not have OSX Lion, but i believe that you have to purchase snow leopard to upgrade all the way to lion, as you can not skip operating systems. Go to Java preferences and uncheck all but the 32 bit "Java SE 6" option, since that is the latest option still working currently i believe.
