Do not allow threads like these

This

It annoys me to see threads like this. Nothing is being discussed. Just a bunch of people, pissed off about what someone has done, and flaming them. Though it is news, it does nothing but bring negative comments to it.(Not saying the person is not deserving in this particular thread)

 

I, for one, think it is good to have threads like these. They keep you updated with the news. It's true that there's not much discussion going on, but come on, who is going to argue whether that's sick or not?

 

I don't really care about these threads, but if they offend you so much, just click this button:



or just report them. I don't get why you're so offended. Its KINDA spam, but its not to the point where I'm bothered.

 

Calling someone "scum", and that's all you say in a post; is definitely what i'd call spam.

 

So, you only have a problem with the people posting in the thread?

 

Then what would you expect people to post?

 

If it annoys you, just leave the thread. If you consider something "spam" then report it. Simple as that.

It's the only type of response these thread receives; which is still considered spam.

I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me here. If it annoys you, leave the thread. The comments are not directed at you thus should not offend you. If you consider it "spam", report it and it will be dealt with. Explain to me what you wear saying there, as it had no relations to what I said.

 

Most are the threads in that section are like this and if it wern't for them there really wouldn't be much to talk about... Why do you care if people are "spamming" these it doesn't effect you at all. No support.

 

I like the idea of the threads in themselves, granted the news is rather depressing. I'd rather be informed of what's going on around me than stay ignorant.

OT:Sythe isn't my only way I obtain my information, lol. I read at least two papers a week.

As long as the threads aren't getting out of hand, I think they should be fine.

 

If they are pissed on someone who did something to them, they should just make a scam report.`
Flaming itself, just report it.
And like Egu says, as long it doesn't get out of hands, it's fine too me.

 

I suggest you actually include yourself in this discussion, other than saying what you did. You saying that does nothing but bumps this thread, which it doesn't need to be, and gives you a post count. Enjoy the infraction.

And as for OT, as long as the replies are DISCUSSING the topic, they are fine. But if people are NOT discussing the topic, or giving their views on the situation, report them and it will be deleted/infracted.

No support, these threads keep Sythers active and updated about REAL news.

 

I support this, although the threads are good for getting updates on grotesque and current news, most people just use it as a +1 for their post count by going...

"Whats wrong with that guy"
"What has america come to"
"Wow thats stupid"
"What kind of person does that!"

and then they repeat the same exact lines in the next news threads. I don't support getting rid of these kinds of news threads but I do support infractions being placed on people who post the kind of thing I stated above.

 

No support. You are just complaining about people posting spam and flaming responses to these threads. The is something that can already be solved by a simple click of the report button. Instead of not allowing these threads altogether let people post, if they spam they will get infracted. They will learn from it and next time probably post something a little more insightful and eventually there would be some decent discussion. Until then do something that everyone can do and just report the posts. There is nothing stopping you. I see no reason to not allow topics that have a possibility of decent discussion.

 

This sums it up.
People are going to gossip and bitch, that's life.
It's not like they're actually doing anything about it, so I can see the problem, but if anything actually crosses a line, just report it.
