Paypal/Scams/Lies/Bad specialists

Basically what this thread is about, is just me losing 2 disputes and winning one. During those two disputes I've called Paypal about 6 times. After that last call I felt pretty confident I was going to win these both. Also, these disputes are worth more than $200 together. Yeah I got scammed out of an account worth about 500M. He auto-clicked the account and it's perm banned now. Any who back to the story which broke my heart. So the next morning I knew today was the day I will get the money I'm suppose to get. What I was going to do with this money was help my sister in law getting her a cheap ISP for her computer which costed like $100 together with other shit and it's $60 a month and I'd pay the first month for her while she settles down. Well I called her the day before the reversal came in. I was basically telling her about the calls with paypal and how it's pretty much guaranteed I'd get the money. She was so happy she kept thanking me and you know that makes me feel good about myself.

So I wake up to check on my i-pod touch to see if the money came in. My paypal balance is still .66 cents. I panicked, quickly checking the history of my recent transactions I came across 2 reversals! My heart just dropped right there. I felt like shit at that moment. It's so funny because the calls with the paypal customer service providers basically told me I was going to win these to because their scammed from me. Well guess what? You can still chargeback a paypal gift if you have a credit card added to your paypal account. I quickly once again called paypal and they transferred me about 3-5 times. It got annoying and I was so pissed on the phone I didn't know what to say really, my tongue was twisted at that point, but I finally got to the last person that could actually give me details about the account and how I lost.

Okay, so after calling paypal 6 fucking times telling them what happened and how this was a exchanged purchase he told me since it was a gift, he thought that no items were exchanged in the process. I felt like banging my head against the wall. Why the fuck would I be fighting a dispute if I didn't give anything in return for the money?! Well my sister called 5 hours later telling me she was going to order the things needed for the ISP like the router etc. I didn't want to tell her so I ended up begging my step dad for money because I my paypal balance was currently way below 0 and I needed to cover that fast since I made a VBA just to verify my paypal and it had no money in it and you can't close your paypal with a negative balance and I knew something bad was going to happen if I didn't cover that soon. So he gave me the money so now I owe him money and I want to give my sister money.

So I ended going on ebay to sell old amps in my house worth of value. I've found one worth $700 and I auctioned it and I had a buyer. So I ended up sending him the amp and he told me he likes it and I'm still waiting for my money to be received so the next day. I get an email saying he doesn't like it because it's broken. Right there at that moment I wanted to flip shit because I ended up paying the shipping and handling and now he wants to send it back? OMG, and he doesn't even send it back to my address. He sends it back to PAYPAL! So now I have to paypal to get my shit and they want me to pay a fee on top of that.

So now I'm in deep shit and I'm working 3 jobs atm. I'd thought I'd share this with some of you. If someone sends you money as a gift on paypal don't think you're safe because he can easily call his credit card company and ask for a reversal and paypal is a bitch and will listen to them instead of you.

 

This is all known information, there have been more threads about not using PayPal for any transactions big or small than I care to remember. If you're ever going to sell using PayPal, make sure it's through Player Auctions.

I'm really sorry this happened to you, but simply reading through some threads on PP on sythe could have easily prevented this. Pay a little more to be safe, since it's always better to be safe than sorry.

 

Well shit happens, and bad shit happened to me. There was really no way out of it since I cannot use PA as I regret using it for any other way than PP. I'm pretty sure you can get scammed anywhere else. The internet are filled with idiots who steal their moms/dads credit and realized they fucked up sending the money panicking and order a reversal. I can barley get any sleep and it's annoying me, but you're right. I must be more careful.

Also if someone sends you money as a gift, there is absolutely no buyer protection. In that, you're fucked.

 

Why can't you use PA? do you live in a country that doesn't support it?

Well, if you HAVE to use PP, take a bite on profits and sell it to somebody trusted, who you know will not charge back.
