We can't judge on member just because they are lower rank or new here on sythe, For me everyone if you want to get a success trade or any sort of deal, You just find a trusty and a higher vouch(ranks, etc) middlemen to help you out with the trade/deal. That is what i think.

Well, I'm new to Sythe.org. I'm more than willing to use an MM/OMM as long as I do not have to pay a penny for the MM/OMM and also am willing to go first to ppl that I trust. Hope no one sees me as one of the ppl that aren't willing to use an OMM/MM nor willing to go first to trusted ppl.

I am trying to get vouches btw.

There is definitely a difference between new genuine traders like myself wanting to use an OMM and take the time to discuss the deal with people, and those who 'forgot' they had chores as soon as you mention you want a 3rd party involved.
Though I must say a lot (not all, don't get me wrong) of the hate towards new players is unnecessary. They just do what they can to get the more reliable/veteran traders to notice them in cases where they would usually be ignored due to a lack of experience.
This comes from someone who has hopes of selling a White party hat and knows I'll likely not find any reputable members willing to trade with me...
    :(

@frosty If your trying to sell a white party hat then make a thread for it.
Why would you make this as your first post?
I'm new too and the only thing people want is for me to go first...
You're not trusted when your new and for good reason, people don't want to get scammed...

How about we all just get along. If you don't wanna trade with someone, or have an opinion about their post count, that's great, JUST LEAVE THEIR THREAD!

You don't HAVE to bash and flame people because they're new. Sythe should be an accepting trading community.

Like frost said, use an OMM, use websites like Player Auctions, and always make sure that everything is recorded, documented and well-planned-out.

    @matty
im waiting for mods to approve a thread in community. In it I'm asking for best tips to get a safe/reliable sell as I'm new here (payment method, use of OMM etc). I didn't want to jump straight in to the marketplace and be either be labelled a scammer or have someone try to scam me due to my lack of experience.
Regardless, sorry to get off track in terms of thread topic. Then again I guess I am one of the leechers the thread mentions in the first place =/

All i do is say that he/she is a leecher/newcomer and that everyone should be cautious, but I don't trade with anyway that's below the rank of active member.

Anyone else think it's extremely ironic that the first two posters in this topic are banned, most likely for scamming?

Everyone starts new, you can tell which are fake and scam.
The ones who are legit and trustable are just trying to get rep.

When I was a leecher all I did is free services for vouches. But, for some reason people also trusted me as a starter idk why, but I would like to thank all of them.

If you're new to virtual trading, it already has a bad rep of scamming.
I didn't trust anybody with my money when I came here, don't expect I'm alone, a lot of newcomers are ban evaders, though some are genuine traders.

OT: interesting to see the person who ranted over this being temp banned ;)

Everyone was once a leecher, and most are ban evaders i think.
Just always use a OMM, or let them go first.
If they don't let them find another trader.
In my first trades, i always went first, to gain trust.

I find it very hard to gain the trust of people still. I have a few vouches over the place but have never gotten round to putting them all together. You just need to be a good judge of character really. Recentlly, I only trade with people who can string a sentance together, prove all the details needed and don't try to rush through a trade (no matter how big or small it is.)

Just because someone has 2k+ posts and 100+ vouches doesn't mean they won't scam you. (obviously chances are very very small :p)

When I was a leecher I got scammed 50$ by someone very trusted, took him a year to get banned. I only had chatlogs so I couldn't prove anything back then, but since then I have never gone first unless it was to a staff member, which has allowed me to remain unscammed since the first incident.
