    Starting a bot farm...

I've botted a few skills in my time, but nothing too major. I'm really wondering whether its worth getting a vps, or what sort've memory would I need to run the bots?
Also, the best bots to run for newcomers, I would only be using paid bots, after reading what happened to panic :(
Looking at running about 10 bots.

    All advice is welcomed, thanks.

Start off small and build your way up. maybe start with 2-4 bots do some research into what would be best to bot for yourself and then work from there, i would suggest against a VPS if you can run it on your pc as it will save you the money of the VPS and it would be easier for you to run yourself. :) need anything pm me or add me on msn ive had a succsess ful botting business sine january :) and ill be happy to give you a helping hand.

Start with about 2 accounts and see how you like managing them and then add a few bots and see how they work. Don't go and spend money on 2 VPS's and 10 Memberships to find out that you bot farm idea doesn't work or the ge kills your ability.

    What happened to Panic?

If you invest in a vps make sure its a company that doesn't oversell. Do your research ;)

VPS so when one account gets banned, they don't ban all the rest.

Also, Free scripts are fine as long as it's not in a highly banable area/skill. Idc how much you pay for a bot, if it's doing Sorce garden, Range guild, Wcing, etc, you'll be banned in no time.

Jagex doesn't ban by IP address unless your taking down their server or some shit with 300 bots o_O. Even if that, it could all be college students that all play RuneScape on one big wifi (lol)

....but I've had multiple bans without anything being done to many other accounts among the same IP.
I purchased my VPS from Seerhost, the 4GB one.. its expensive, but I turn my profit.

How much would it cost using a vps to run say, 5 bots?

Depending on how much memory they use (Soulwars vs Agility), If it is a low to medium usage bot, they would on the $60/month from SeerHost. Dpending on how you allocated the memory to each client. o_O

Wow, there's so much cost I hadn't even begun to account for. Would you recommend any bot in particular with a low ban rate and a decent income?

If you're like me, then you may have some old desktops lying around the house.

I slapped some cheap ram in them, installed ubuntu, and use them as 24/7 botting machines. Cheaper for me than using a VPS.

    How's the electricity bill?

And honestly.. I wouldn't run a bot farm, I would just make acounts, and sell them.. such as 10 hp 99 magic, or w.e... probably more profit in that.

Your best bet is to spend $400 on computer parts and build a botting rig and connect it to your internet at home. Then create about 20 members using your own runescape gold. This method will only work if you have the spare cash and can accept the risk. After you have everything set up you will have to choose a script that brings in at least 100k an hour. Most of the scripts that bring in 100k an hour have a low ban rate and you can usually suicide them without problems. If you start out small with only 1-2 accounts you might not make enough to pay for your electric unless your botting dragons, ect. You will be able to pay for your computer and the members your first month.

At the moment I live with my parents, I was sort've hoping to 'hide' the computer in my room, and just claim I don't know anything about the insane electricity bills.
Could you explain what a botting rig actually is?

If it's just one computer, It won't really raise your bill THAT much...
My parents just say "our electricity bill is up this month, make sure to turn the lights off when your not in the room" lol.

Runescape domination in the near future. I can picture it.

On a serious note: My mum will see a £1 increase in electricity bills and then report back to us that the electricity bill has increased by over £100.
