If my Magic is 42 and Ranged is 40 where is the best place to train them?

 

use your normal air/fire spells at barbs in barb village
then at 55 magic - do high alching, green d'hide bodies atm are pretty good, not much gp loss

and for range, if members id suggest rock crabs

 

Exactly what the poster above said except if you do biohazard and the prequest for that you can train via orges for good xp

 

You can train your magic to 55 using the highest spell you can do. Then, use high alchemy on yew longbows (u) for minimal loss.

For ranged, you can train at hill giants or if you're a member, you should try rock crabs with black knives.

Magic - Use 'Deviant Gatestones' from RSBuddy, since it's completely free. You can get a free 30k-50k experience/hr. You need a Runecrafting level of 20 to begin, as you need to bind 125 Cosmic Runes.

Range - This one can vary, but generally anywhere that you can use a safe spot. Like ogres for example.

 

If you're into botting use RS Buddy for magic use Deviant Gatestones, 50k/h and for range use Ultimate Fighter at monks or mino's.
