    edit; Typoed the title, Today iN

    On this day in 1945, the United States conducted the first test of the atomic bomb at a research station in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

    Discuss your view on the Atomic Bomb(s)

    ps;
    If you're REALLY interested in this type of stuff, mainly the Atomic Bomb, I highly suggest you watch a movie called "Trinity" it's a very great movie about the Atomic bomb.

    Bombs are ways to harm people.
    Harming people isn't cool.

    Bombs also settle wars, unfortunately.
    Bombs save lives, as well as destroy them.

    Never even knew of this day, some people who recovered WWII cannon shells some detonated after the war you know? Just seems like a fun fact considering we're talking about explosives.

    Yea :/, just to think that you could wake up one day and hear on the news that there is hundreds of nukes being set off. Would probably faint, and pee myself.

    Nuclear weapons confuse me, I know what they do...They confuse me because we have them but all nations (most to my knowledge) agreed that they will not use them on each other in a time of war, so why have them?

    Yes I know the US used them on Japan in WWII to end the war but that was the only 2 times and since then all countries have agreed not to use them in combat. So why do we even have them? The energy could probably be used for something else...

    Yea, what Florol said.
    No one wants to go to war anymore, because every country has their own nukes to use their their discretion.

    Why even make more of those atomic bombs? Gosh, what are they going to do? Blow eachother up untill there's one stick standing?

    Bombs are a thing that get in the way of peace. There is no need for them.

    survival of the fittest, they think if they have the most nukes they can win any war. which is most likely true . therefor every country is stocking up on nukes in-case anything goes wrong I.E. they get attacked...
