The United States has the largest economy in the world. The United States also has the most powerful military on the entire planet. The United States has produced most of the greatest movies that the world has ever seen. But the United States is also number one in a lot of categories that are not go great.

As history has shown us, all the great civilizations paid their price and in the end fell. Anyone that believes in Karma (not saying I do btw lol), this must not be a suprise to you, given some of the things the USA has done in its history.

Love to hear the theories on how this has happened in a country that prides itself on "freedom".

Anyhow, Over eating isn't hard. The size of meals people in the states can buy, for such a small amount of money evidently doesn't help. You could probably buy a super-size meal, for the same price of a regular hamburger and chips in the UK.

#4 I don't think it's false, the sources Wiki uses for the countries above date from 2004-. Whilst the USA it takes a source which dates from 2009.

I know what the fact says, it doesn't lie. It does, however, make the US look bad in comparison to other countries just because those countries are smaller. You are also using your fact to derive at your final conclusion that the US is worse than people think when the facts that are not related to population are not relevant for that point.

Statistics mean shit to me... I'm in the army and have spent time in every major European, and Asian country. England, Germany, and Italy were just as bad as the US. The only places I've ever seen that's truly extraordinary was Japan, Dubai, and Singapore (I plan on moving to Singapore when I retire from the army). Though the Japanese have the highest suicide rate (maybe they need some of those anti-depressants our women have).

USA just does a lot of achievements, but honestly its condition sucks. And if you gauged greatness on happiness, there are several countries that beat US by a longshot.

 

How so? There are plenty of corrupt governments in Africa and from what I've seen on the History Channel Indonesia is corrupt as well. But as for your statistics... I'm american and they really trouble me

The trade deficit is not that big of a issue, if you paid attention in Economics you would understand.

 

Corruption in the US is more organized and painted over to show a different, more acceptable appearance. Basically its done right in front of us but many don't see the truths.

 

None of this is new, its what happens when you have a huge population. But we do overdo things I will admit. Doesn't mean you should bash us as a whole after all not everyone falls into some of those categories.
