Whats your crazy Sythe stories?

People sometimes share too much.

 

Fagex forums got hacked. Used same password on Sythe.org. Went on vacation for a week and got home to a ban and a herd of angry Sythe members and messages on MSN from every mod and admin asking me wtf I was doing.

Turned out that while I was away the hacker had figured out I used the same password and hijacked my account and scammed 200M.

Long story short the members pooled up money and one member paid 100M and I got unbanned when everyone got their money back.

Wow, brings a tear to my eye thinking about what the members did for me. And that they all believed me when I said I wasn't the scammer. Damn unlucky shit I was away for my one week of the fucking year without internet lol. This was in 2007 mind you.

Yeah this was around the 5$ per mill period. So really they paid 1000 USD for me to get unbanned. Didn't even think about that. Makes it even more crazy!

 

Haha yeah man, I wish I playing OSRS back then, would prefer it was $5/m now

 

Sold a few mill for 11$ back in the day but sadly I had no access to strong enough computer to bot even tho I was mod and stuff and had access to bots. And I was too young to realize the potential investment. Sad. Almost as sad as my 13 BTC I once had.

 

And with inflation that would be around 1500$ today!
