So I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2

...And it was absolute shit. I'd rate it 2/5 stars. So many parts that were in the book, missing. Shitlot of things went different than in the book, without any reason.

Lol, I honestly never hoped for anything good after The Order of Phoenix... Guess I'll go watch it when I'm bored.

 

Even if I knew it was shit before I watched it, I still would've done it.
And yeah, it IS bad, eventually if you love the books.

 

So the strayed from the book's plot for it? I haven't seen either Part 1 or Part II. I read all of the books years ago though.

 

I saw it yesterday. I liked it, but it was a bit "strange". I think it is because there are 2 parts, so the movie starts at the end of the story. That is a bit weird, but i enjoyed it.

This is going to sound retarded probably, but that is the reason I am holding off on actually reading the books until after I finish the series. That way I cannot be disappointed by anything being left out/altered in the films. Afterwards I'll be able to go and read the books and get all the details the movies have left out. No loss for me.

 

In a way, I sorta have to agree with the op.
I just got back from the midnight premier.
It was alright, I expected a lot more.

Movie started at 12:25(Supposed to be @ 12:05)
First 10minutes of the movie, the 3-d shit was broken.
Movie ended at like 2:30.

The end, where it's like ## years later, I think they should have made Harry and the rest of them look older, lol.
They still looked like kids.



But, it was a good movie.

 

I just got back as well. Didn't like the ending, but I liked the movie.

Loved the part when Bellatrix died.

I never read the book. I just saw Part: 2 today, and I really liked it. It was pretty epic and emotional. I'm sad such an amazing franchise ended. But, I think their making other movies about the Harry Potter world? So, all hope is not lost. But, I can assure you, if I read the book, I would probably think this movie sucked. I'm going to start reading all the books, they're probably better anyway.

 

I don't think they are making any more movies, because they are not making any more books. (At least, no plans to)

 

I've read all the books and I still thought this movie was fucking amazing. Even though they took out some parts, it was still epic
