Phishing Emails - Insanely regular?

we all know their a pain in the arse, but before i got one, maybe once every 2 weeks? something like that.

but nowdays i appear to be getting anywhere from 1-4 of these every single day. i dont even play rs anymore, how all these people getting my email address...

anyone else getting insane spam with phishing emails?

 

Via Old Sythe post, you might posted your MSN somewhere. They just spider E-mails.

 

For some reason I never get phishing e-mails. But I think you can report the sender and all of their e-mails go on spam.

 

Old posts or you have a bug on your computer.

 

i was thinking this, but they fake send the email from [email protected] , so would it block legitimate jagex emails to or just the phishs?

I get 10-15 a day lol

Im getting them everyday.

 

they use email parsers, it goes thrue a website and picks out every email, gets thousands of emails without doing a thing. I know this because a friend of mine used to do this stupid shit.

 

i get 5 or so a day, just report hem as phishing

I get quite a few of these too, I even get World of Warcraft phishing mails even though I've never been on any WoW sites.

 

I used to regularly get spammed with phishing emails, but over time (and after I made a new email), they seemed to not show up as bad.

 

i delete anything by jagex actually i delete 99% of my emails, i dont read them

 

They get it from Sythe, or any other RS forum.

 

If you don't publicly post your email address anywhere, you won't ever receive a phishing email, unless you sign up to a shady site with it. People harvest, farm, spider, crawl, and whatever else you want to call it, people's email addresses.
