weed should be legal but cocaine and crack should stay illegal so my family can remain in buisiness.

 

I can vouch for this, awhile ago I had relapsed after using Oxycontin for only a month and a half. I only was able to push myself to be stopped when I had (stupidly) decided to take 8x 20mg tabs of it at the same time one night a week later and had barfed a few times periodically for the next 3 days. After that, the overwhelming combination of emotional support and not wanting to barf every hour or so had gotten me off and onto more important things.

But on topic, a true libertarian would probably say that every person should have the ability to do what they want to themselves, or to their body (as long as they don't harm another person, etc. etc.).

Thing is that certain drugs DO cause horrid addictions relatively fast (oxycontin is high up on that list) and those drugs tend to lead it's user into complete turmoil, taking money from people, etc. (I've seen it happen, it's extremely saddening.) Of course, these people also tend to be those who are in the lower class of society simply due to their use (just think of how the show 'cops' label heroine junkies). It's a very complicated loop and for those users I'm not sure whether legalization would be a good idea or bad.

As for other drugs including (but not limited to): MDMA, LSD, Cocaine, Cannabis, Ketamine, Mushrooms, all illegal forms of Cacti, DMT, and possibly certain forms of Amphetamines. I see no reason for those to remain illegal. As long as proper use is encouraged or taught.

Although I'm sure legalization is a tad large of a step, I do believe decriminalization would be a good first step towards more pure or healthy drugs and a step away from addiction.

Drugs should be legal. Being able to experiment is a human right... why the fuck does the government decide what we can and cannot use? They preech freedom and liberty but all I see when I think of drug prohibition is oppression.

Drugs are a victimless crime if done responsibly! The only person you're hurting is yourself, and that only happens if you do drugs in an irresponsible manner.

Even if drugs are illegal, people will always find a way to get drugs anyway, so prohibition is pointless. Just legalize it all and teach drug education to prevent things like overdoses and addiction.

In addition to giving people the freedom of choice in regards to what they put in their body, legalizing drugs would put the cartels and dealers out of business, as well as putting an end to this silly multi-Billion dollar War on Drugs.

Anyone who disagrees is ignorant and brainwashed.

 

Drugs should be legal, its a humans choice to accept them into the human body. Therefore the government should not be able to stop all rights of using health risk drugs. Its like saying Smoking should be illegal because Weed is they both are health issues across the united states and many other country's in the world.


Drugs also has its benifits, Some governments across the world uses Marijuana to keep the country out of bankruptcy but its still illegal in that same country? Why is that, because they want to hide the fact of dealing underground so they call it an illegel drug.

Compare Drugs to alcohol, More people die each year from drinking and driving why, because its a drug that controls your vision, like weed controls your hallucination, they both stimulate the brain. If Drugs are illegal why isn't alcohol, well because its to make governments in abandoned countries stay out of bankruptcy.

 

I believe that it is an inalienable right to be able to explore all the realms of your consciousness with the use of any substance or drug. I think everything should be legal, instead of spreading mass propaganda, use it to educate both the pros and cons of drugs. If people want to choose to throw their life away and become addicted to meth, they should have that right.

 

If it was being peer pressured. I'd just pretend to take it and act all high and stupid.

Marijuana is not really a drug IMO. A drug is generally a man made substance that has a main reason to influence what happens to a person. On the other hand, cannabis is a plant. Why is the going to ban a plant that kills less people in a year than alcohol? Yeh, it's probably not good for your health, but think about cigarettes. They kill over 8 million people a year. It's proven NOT to be a gateway drug.

But then again. This is just my opinion.

 

it depends, i think marajuana should be legal even tho i dont support it because it doesnt endanger people such as alcohol. But drugs that can endanger other people such as Meth, Pcp, acid should be illegal because people who use them could endanger other people around them

Not even close. These groups are made by the criminalization of these substances; if they were to be legalized, these groups would lose all power that they had, and all sources of funding, and would effectively be destroyed.

It's not an opinion; it's an incorrect statement. Prior to commenting about what whether or not a substance should be labeled a drug, it's probably helpful to actually look up what the word drug means.

Illegal drugs is %30 of this country's economy. at least a %30. Making them legal i don't think it's a good idea for many reasons.

 

There are plenty of reasons and you know exactly what they are. The fact that you are so eager to prove their faults shows me you've done your research. The fact is, it is illegal, and it is going to stay that way, as it should. Your opinion doesn't matter.
