Whate laptop should I get?

I'm looking to save up some money, to buy a decent gaming computer. Something that can run modern games on at least medium to high settings (Not max).

Right now I have a basic..Well work computer.

By the way I'm not a newby when it comes to computer tech..I don't know everything, but I know what I need to know somewhat. As of now I'm tired of desktops. I only like them because I can sit down and its a lot more comfortable and reliable. But I'm about to be a JR in highschool, and might be taking 1 or 2 online classes because of my football schedule so I want to be able to do things like homework but also be able to game.

Now please remember, I'm only 16 (Turned 16 last year), so don't try and recommend me some $2000 laptop. I don't really have a budget, but just think about it before you post it..I'm not going to have 2 grand...

im in the uk so i dont really know the prices of american computers but that 800$ i7 pc seems cheap as fuck lol because here they're like $1000+

 

Macbook Pro is what I would recommend.

They run around $1,500. Dont know if thats over your budget

If you want to get a good gaming computer then you should build it yourself, try newegg.com and you'll get some good deals.

 

Building your own desktop is the way to go. If you can find a pre-built pc that you like, try and just buy the parts separately and build it yourself. You'll end up saving a reasonable amount of money.

Use Passmark.com to get benchmarks on CPU's and GPU's so you know what's good and how they compare to others.

You will not find a laptop capable of playing modern games for a reasonable amount. You will pay like 50% more to get the comparable performance of a desktop using the same hardware. If gaming is your intention, and you are on a budget, BUILD A DESKTOP. You said yourself prefer the comfort of a desktop. Your end-user experience will be much much better for the amount of money you pay if you build your own pc rather than buy a laptop. I can configure you a system for the best bang for your buck. Stay away from manufacturers.. they are rip offs.
