How was gold transfered when free trade was not there???

People probaly won't say the methods that they used incase free trade goes again .

 

A common one was referred to as the 'FEI' method. Though, this is merely what I heard, it's suppose to entail the GE. Presumably buying and selling between 2 accounts simultaneously in order to siphon the GP to the desired account.

The FEI method was buying a crashing item at med, then having another account buy it at market. A lot of GP was lost that way, hence the high prices

 

a lot of xfer methods. like picking items and transferring to other account for money. like i had a method for 400k per hr

 

Combination of trade and GE.

 

There were plenty of transfer methods which dealt with the GE, different types of items, etc. There was also junk trading.

Also, chinese websites farmed gold rather than trading it.

 

i think it was mostly ge manipulation

 

I used to transfer va wild pies.

Combined all incredients except last part on wild pie. Price: over 5k, Ge price: 300gp.

Then sell that to the other account, put the last item in, 6k pie.

You could request the cooking level if needed aswell.

 

If you Google enough you'll probably be able to find some of R2P's guides in some dusty Pastiebin somewhere. Those were really the most efficient way you could xfer, although toward the end Crab and the other glitchers found an unlimited xfer method in dungeoneering. Was really too late to make a big deal out of it though.

 

Yeah a lot of stuff was transferred via this method, or so I have heard.

A method like this must still be unpatched, or was only patched recently. I seem to remember a person on the boards last month buying effigies 500k each. That makes me wonder if all untradeable items can be transferred, e.g. Bunny Ears.

 

Buying junk or selling divines / phats for ingame cash + $$$

 

Innnterrressting... that'd be some crazy fast exp to buy a bunch of effigies...

people would collect white berries or blue drag scales and sell to other account to transfer a lot for a slow and painful transfer process.

 

i know some people did ge method but thats the only one i know

 

My personal favourite was the fire arrows method.

One person would buy fire arrows from the other put them out trade back and repeat this would xfer 50/hour

 

There were so many X-fer methods. Also, much people just farmed the gold on the accounts.
