Jagex IP Tracing Skills?

Say I botted, and I used a VPN. My computer host comes up, e.g. "Shafski-PC", but not my original IP if I have my VPN loaded.

Can jagex trace through this to my original IP? Even if my VPN doesn't keep logs of such.

 

No, and they won't do anything with your original ip either (IP ban) etc. for botting.

 

Jagex almost never does anything with your IP, even if you bot. So, if one of your accounts gets banned, there is no additional chance that another account of yours will also get banned.

 

Jagex only focuses on the actual account not what computer you are using to connect to it.

First of all, Jagex is dealing with hundreds upon thousands of botters. They do not have time to track down every users IP address. Unless you have done something outlandish to royally piss everyone in Jagex off, chances are they will not bother tracing ur IP.

If you had you're vpn loaded then you would be safe.

 

I think jagex gave up the ip watching when someone told them ip changes every few days in some cases and weeks for others, and some people have the same ip. They will have a better chance once ipv6 gets bigger.

jagex will chain ban you/ban your ip if you are caught phishing/cracking and hijacking accounts. they will also chain ban you if you are caught RWting. It happened to me, they banned every single account that had been created on my ip. they banned over 30 of my accounts.

But as you're botting you should be fine.
