How the fuck do you slice the cheese in your country?

Today I found out something that I had no idea of. I heard that only scandinavia uses a cheese slicer. If that's true, how the fuck do the rest of the world do it?

Wtf, that looks like the thing that trims carrots and potatoes. Anyway, in USA we use a butter knife or a regular knife.

Your basic knife does the job in Australia

 

I've seen that thing you posted a pic of in our drawer of cooking stuffs but I've never used it.

I generally use a knife to get slices, or a grater to get little pieces.

 

Its pretty much like your slicer, but it uses a wire to slice cheese instead of a small groove in the metal.

 

Doesn't knives give you very uneven and thick slices on your sandwich?

 

If you cut it thinly then it's fine, I don't mind if it's a tad uneven just isn't too thick.

Never even seen those things before, good old knife ftw.

 

In my experience, using knives will always be my last resort.

 

I usually use a knife for cutting cheese, its got a little fork thing on the top, thats how i know its the cheese knife.

 

I use what OP posted, and I live in the U.S.A. - nothing crazy just slices cheese for sandwiches.

i have the one in the OP but i dont use it, i just use my knife

 

I either use a cheese grater or buy pre-grated cheese itself.
