Whip Update

Any guess on how much whips will rise to?

 

wait how are htey getting updated?

OT they will go up, then fall..

 

I think they'll average out at 1.5m..

 

I've already seen people standing in GE selling whips for 1.8M, so I kind of doubt it will go much higher than that, if at all

Monsters are gonna be introduced that drop an item you attach to your whip to increase its stats, can cause poison damage randomly, and gives whip a better special attack. I think that sums it up, but I might of missed something. Just look at RS page.

 

For conscientious helpers, there will be buffing fruit and ecosystem seeds. For the persistent slayers, there is a chance of coming across the mysterious whip vine, which may sound incongruous but does wonders when attached to an abyssal whip (requiring 80 Slayer and 85 Attack to wield). It raises the whip’s stats, has the chance of delivering a small amount of poison damage to your targets and gives the old whip a brand-whipping-new special attack. Find that elusive vine and you’ll be able to vine-tune your abyssal vine whip to perfection!

 

The next RS update is monster you can kill in living rock caverns for a root that requires 80 slayer and 85 attack to attach to you're whip to increase it's stats and add a poison effect.

OT - I see Whips raising as they are when the update first comes out. After a week or soo they will drop unless the stat increase is large.

thats what i was thinking as well. I got a nice stash of whips atm an i think i will sell all of them on the day of the update. Only thing im a little worried about is the small number of people who have the 80 slayer req, decreasing the number of people who will try to purchase and use the new whip

 

Whips will have a requirement of 85 attack, tahts the highest combat stat
requirement in the game, chaotics are only lvl 80 combat stat right?

the stat bonus the new vine thing adds to the whip should be pretty big,
I predict whips will continue to rise all the way to the update and peak
at around 3-5M.

Adding a new weapon that deals significant damage to the game is huge,
its not some small time update, so I think the demand for these are gonna
be pretty surprising.

 

I don't think the spec is gonna be that good, but nevertheless the price always rises when a new update/item comes out.

People will just realize ''oh fuck, I don't have 85 slayer'' so it won't rise by much I think.

 

Apparently the update is coming out this week, i've heard some people sayin on Tuesday and others on Thursday. Also the 85 attack req is the highest in the game, however, korasis has a req of 78 and its stats are poor for its reqs minus the spec so the high reqs may be misleading

 

slayer is going to start to become increasingly popular haha update makes whip stronger and has poision to it.

 

They've already seen the action they were going to see.
Day that information was released they went up as high as 2.5
Now they are back to 1.5 - 1.8.

 

i think they will rise slowely until the update then crash

 

Depends on how good the update is.

If it's really good MAX 2m

 

What if its compareable to rapier with a solid spec? Would it still be only 2m max do to its commoness?

 

I would say most likely, due to how many people bot Abyssal Demons.
