Quick Nexus Guide

This thread is designed to inform players the official and safest ways to start botting. Ensuring safety for each individuals account is important, nothing worse than a nasty Trojan horse or key logger on your computer.

The basics of what you will need:
1. http://www.win-rar.com/ (This is used in uncompressing the files)
2. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-6u25-download-346242.html. (Before starting make sure you also have Java (JDKTM). The JDK is a development environment for building applications, applets, and components using the Java programming language. This is a must for any scripts and bots to load correctly)
3. A computer able to play runescape
4. Stable high speed internet connection

Getting the right client: PLEASE NOT ALL SCRIPTS WORK WITH BOTH CLIENTS
First of all, we will need our iBot client.

(is commonly known as Nexus)

RSBots.net basically sell Nexus scripts. Some of their scripts are rebranded versions from other sites (example: AutoMiner is actually Kminer rebranded).

Step 1: Downloading and extracting your client!
Upon downloading you will noticed that the file is compressed into either a .zip or .rar file format. This is where the software WinRAR (http://www.win-rar.com) comes into play you will right click the file and chose to extract it. You can also choose to rename the file and save it wherever will be quickest for you to reopen on your computer.

Step 2: After the file has been successfully extracted it’s time to start installing your client!
To install your client, you must enter your "renamed" folder and double-click "install-windows.bat" file.

Step 3: Running your client!
To run your client, you must enter your "renamed" folder and double-click "run-RAM1000MB" file or any similar file that suits your computer. This is adjustable based upon your computer specs.

Step 4: Security Measure
This is a one safety measure to help protect your AUTH that you have purchased and I would strongly recommend that you follow the steps in the photo about creating a question and answer. IMPORANT don’t forget your answer to the question though as it cannot be retrieved.

ABOUT THE BOT
Most of you joined the forum looking for the neXus client. Rumored to be the source of all scripts, the inspiration and mentor of RS script writers. At this point, I am positive you're jumping out of your chair wondering where you can buy these scripts BUT you still have to understand how everything works before you make sudden payments, you silly goose.

What is a Script and a Scripter?
A script is a specific set of instructions, created by the scripter that are designed to mimic a players actions in order as example; to gain experience or GP.
A scripter is a person who by means of object orientated programing is capable of writing a series of specific instructions for the client to carry out.

Knowing a script can be written by anyone. You have to understand that prices and customer support vary between each author. Be sure to double check the script has the features you're looking for before purchasing. Never assume and attempt dealing it later(refunds and immediate attention is unlikely).

As mentioned earlier, each author have their unique features. There are two ways to sell their script; Via authcodes or by the ScriptDB(AKA iCredits). Let's review which type suits you best, shall we?
Auth Keys: Commonly popular for resellers - one payment, one authcode, one bot, one IP. Simple.
ScriptDB: A unique system to ensure our scripts stay local. This also permits us to use open source scripts. NO limits of how many bots you wish to run 24/7. You must pay a weekly/monthly fee for this service. To view the subscription list, click HERE. To view which script you've already purchased under the ScriptDB and to enable them, click HERE.
*ScriptDB is available for free during weekends kind of like a trial.

To run a script, press 'add a bot' and select the script you wish to use and press start. There are two options of which to start; signed or unsigned. (Choose signed unless you are trying to log more than one bot at time

Step 6: Selecting your preferences. There is where you can choose what drops will be selected from a completed random. As well as your favorite world to play Runescape in as well as other important account information such as bank pin.

Step 7
The RS screen will load and you can press start on your script. And sit back and enjoy the show.

Important tips for greatly reducing your chance of getting banned.
1) Avoid attracting attention! This can be done by NOT wearing rare items or a skill cape. In addition don't wear items increasing in price as people will be asking you to buy them.
2) Don't bot without any amour or jewelry. You will stand out very quickly.
3) Try and talk while botting ONLY if you plan to stay around and manually log out from time to time.
4) Don't use break handlers do it yourself.
5) Switch to different skills every other day
6) Play legit for about ten mins before logging out for the day.
7) Try and do all randoms yourself if you can hear a random on your computer screen do it!
8) Never post photos with your account name in them
9) Avoid offensive user names
10) Never ever take the side of a bot in game.

Your guide isn't complete. You focused more on the neXus client. Most players use free bots so you should add some details regarding the RSBuddy client.

don't talk ingame if you plan on leaving the bot. This will make people believe you are legit and only increase the chance they would talk to you back later, when you are not there. then they will report you.

other than that this guide is excellent!

 

I agree with elektrey post... Im a victim of this im 99% sure.. As I was babysitting and chatting for about 2 hours then went afk for 6 with people I was chatting with.. and woke up with a ban. was reported probably by everyone I was with.. Thats a STRONG tip to remember/exercise.

 

Should add more on free bots, besides that GJ!

I suggest putting talking in-game when you're baby sitting, just say you are also playing a game on fun orb, watching a movie or something of the like.

 

Already knew the stuff you talked about but it was a good reminder, just add some line breaks and colors and it could be a real guide.
